I visited Broome and went along to Matso's for lunch, the staff were very friendly and full of good advice as to which beer I should try (not a beer drinker) My lunch was yummy- fresh and a good portion. I would go here again on my next visit

Was on a business trip to Broome and the locals told us to meet them for dinner and drink at Matso's Brewery. It's located near to the sea side and it has its famous beer- Mango Beer, Lychee Beer, Chilli Beer and even Chango beer.
The food was alright but the waiting time was so long. Took nearly an hour for the food to come out.

Food was alright, the garlic bread was quite a let down but the prawn linguine was great. My colleague mentioned the steak was fantastic too. I'd buy the pack of Mango beers back if I had the time- it tasted sweet like shandy! Love it!

Just back from a quick jaunt to Gods Country, the Kimberley, & have to give a big thumbs up to Matso's. We ate there on our first night, Wild Barra' with a Laksa & warm salad (sublime), & then proceeded to eat every mealtime at the venue for the next two days. It was fairly evident that the Head Chef is fussy about the produce he sources & how it is served, a high standard that most Perth restaurants could learn from. On our second night we were spoilt with a staple from the menu, Pork Belly with Seared Scallops, which was served in record time even though the place was packed (once again, Perth restaurants please take note). I will be back there for the food alone, however I should mention the staff were quick, genuine, attentive & accommodating and then there's the beer!!! A cold Mango Beer whilst sitting on the balcony as the sun sets over Roebuck Bay ... Priceless.

When I lived in Broome, this was my favourite hang out place!
When the weather is consistently hot, you want consistently cold, awesome beer! And Matsos definitely delivers!
The venue is wonderful, with great seating and a view of the mangroves and the staff are all excellent, laid back and friendly! Food here is to die for, whether it be breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack!
The curry hut is a delicious option and if you're around in october they hold an excellent oktoberfest party!
They always have great live music and an excellent vibe! But they do get quite popular in the busy months so be prepared to wait for a table, or get in early!
By far my favourite kimberley bar!

Definitely go here to try the ginger beer and the chilli beer, the chilli beer is very chilli so I hope you like it hot! These are my fav two but there are lots to try and you can actually get a sample of them for a small fee, like a tasting thing, before you buy which is tops! Try and book so that you can get a seat our on the veranda as this is the best way to enjoy your time, it's really relaxing. We didn't get a full meal here, just the tasting plate for two which was great, I think it was outback one or something like that, it had kangaroo and croc on it as well as other stuff but we thought we'd give these a try - strangely interesting food, I wouldn't say delicious but different, not bad. Hard to describe really...anyway love this place, best for the beer! The tasting plate was around $30-$35 from memory...our beer bill was bigger ha ha

Such a relaxed place - very typical Kimberley hospitality (friendly, easy going, laid back etc.). The beer is great and the food is just fantastic! Had the Blue swimmer crab chilli linguine which was the best pasta I've had anywhere. Prices are a little high but considering it's isolation you'd kind of expect that.

When you go here make sure you catch a taxi because you really want to try their beers, the ginger beer is the best! They also have these Indian nights where the Indian chef sets up outside and you go up and get your meal, it's really different and quite a bit of fun. Try and get there before the sun sets and grab a table outside to watch the view. They also do fantastic burgers.

Great place to eat and enjoy one of Matso's wonderful beers (ginger and raspberry are my favourites). We went with three children for dinner and were very pleased with the food & service. We had ribs, and they were divine. The panna cotta for dessert was also brilliant. Prices pretty good for Broome (eating out is more expensive there in general, than in Perth)

A great place. Fabulous selection of beers and it was fun trying very different varieties you don't see anywhere else. Food was good. The staff were a trip and a lot of fun - a gave them a bad rating for service because we were on the waiting list and they scratched us off thinking we found a table - so we waited FOREVER for a table humph. They had a live jazz duo that were very good. We would certainly return - But I'd watch the waiting list!
