We visited Max Brenner in City Westfields last weekend for the first time and let me tell you, first impressions do last and last...
After ordering our smoothie and a cup of coffee, we sat down at one of the cleaner tables in the store which was not very busy at that time. It took a waitress approximately 7 minutes after noticing us to come and clean up the table. Shortly after that, the smoothie was brought to our table. So I thought, ok, the coffee should also be coming soon but it did not follow. 23 minutes later, I decided to go to the front counter and find out what had happened to the coffee that we had paid for 23 minutes ago. I focus my attention on a staff member who was next to the coffee machine and asked him where is my coffee. So he looked at me and said "Did you not receive it?" So I said "why would I be asking you where my coffee is if I've received it 25 minutes ago? So he checked with another worker and said "ok, we bring to you now". All up I had to wait for 30 minutes for a cup of coffee to be served to me. When the waitress finally brought my cup of coffee to our table, instead of apologizing for such massive delay, she says to me "is there anything else you wanted?" At that point I just wanted to leave this coffee which did not even taste nice and walk out but I knew that there was a slim chance of me getting my money back. I have never seen such tremendous service. Max Brenner should really choose his employees more careful and maybe go one the Undercover Boss TV show to see exactly how they are running his business....He will not be a very happy boss
