I cannot fault Maximilians, they are perfect. Have been here a couple of times now, most recently with visiting friends. We love the views here, such a relaxing atmosphere with open fires in winter which makes it warm and cosy. Seating both inside and out, very nice areas.

the tasting board is a must as are their crispy chicken wings. You will find it to be a bit pricey but well worth it, very classy. Of course they have an extensive wine list which we all thoroughly enjoyed. I also tried pear cider for the first time and really liked it. Service was exceptional, both friendly and efficient. Also found the cellar door staff to be very friendly.

Will definitely be returning for our next special ocassion.

This restaurant is very nice for a special occasion. It is a large house in a vineyard (set well off the road) which has an european menu. In winter there are large fires to keep you warm and cosy. Swiss/austrian style cooking together with great steaks. My steak was perfect. The staff are expert but still friendly.

The menu reflects the care taken with ingredients source from the local Adelaide Hills are where possible and further afield in SA when necessary.

A very nice occasion overall in a very pleasant setting. (Inside and outside) Cellar door sales are available too.

Nice setting in the vineyard. Good service and lovely food. Not a huge menu but you should still be able to find something quite easily.

Everything was wonderful. We loved the Chateau briand. Have been there twice already for the same meal and will be going again. Have referred a many of our friends who have gone for the same experience and they also agree.

went here for our anniversary and it was a very special occasion/ wonderful vines/ deluxe food/ skilled chef/ the staff make your experience very special/ and i love the toffee strawberries!!!

Beautiful evening for our wedding anniversary, sitting by the log fire. The food was sensational and we had a fairly private little spot to sit and look out the window. The service was impeccable. I icon of the hills.

Maximillians has a breathtaking view and is set in the beauty and tranquility of the Adelaide Hills. The staff are always friendly and go above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is perfect. The food is exquisite and so is the view (the restaurant overlooks a vineyard and pond in a green pasture). The perfect place for good food and romance or just to enjoy a well-cooked meal! And you get a nice little surprise after you pay the bill...which is a lovely way to end the perfect meal!
