Don't know about the previous review...How does one give a review of a job when they are not even there to review the work themselves??? Sounds like a person trying to walk out on paying before the job has even been finished!!!

Wish I could give zero stars. He took advantage of the fact I wasn’t able to be onsite to oversee the job. I asked for photo updates & he did send photos - half was painted ok & the rest (I couldn’t see) was absolutely shoddy. I had a friend checking in who would ask management to rectify issues he found but he didn’t. Yet management constantly hassled me for money as he knew once my friend inspected the job I wouldn’t be happy. He promised the earth even criticising the existing paint job & talked himself up as a perfectionist.
No prep work was done as per his contract as is obvious from the photos I have. The timber he bothered to oil was half done & nothing was cleaned before he started. Oiled over cobwebs & spiders! Splashed decking oil all over the paintwork.
I should have been wary when he dropped his initial quote by $3k without me even asking for a discount. He thought he could get away with ripping me off. Well he did mostly but in his own words I didn’t have to make final payment until I was satisfied. I wasn’t & so I didn’t. He didn’t even try to work out fixing the issues to get his final payment which goes to show he overquoted in the first place & was happy to just walk away.
Very dishonest & a terrible painter. How anyone can do their job & take no pride in it is beyond me. I am happy to share photos if anyone is thinking of using this business
