5 reviews about Meadowmist Boarding Kennels

My tiny Burmese has been boarding at Meadowmist since she was a kitten. She is now 11yrs old and always returns bright and happy, not a trace of stress. She has never liked being away from her humans but the staff must give great cuddles and play with her for her to be so relaxed and happy upon her return. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my fur baby

I would steer well clear of Meadowmist unless you have as much time and money to look after you pet when he/she returns.

We have used Meadowmist on 4 occasions for our Labrador, not sure why it took us this long but they are convenient however we simply cant put him through it again.

Aside from the fact he comes back skinny every time I think this is just the start of it. The first time he came back off his food which was unusual but after a week at home he was back to normal. The second time he came back with a series of antibiotics and a bad case of kennel cough. The 3rd time he was riddled with fleas and this last time another bad case of kennel cough and a skin infection.

We contacted Meadowmist only to be told it couldn't have been them and given a speech on their experience and dog showing, obviously their own animals who are separated from their boarders. Whilst I don't believe they deliberately make your dog sick I am certain they just throw all the dogs in to the same pen and hope for the best. Reading the reviews it is interesting we are not the only ones with issues regarding under feeding and feel certain this is due to a money saving exercise. Their motivation is the $ and not the care.

I do not recommend Meadowmist to care for your pet.

I wouldn't recommend putting your pet in Meadowmist care. I put my British Shorthair for 16 days. When I picked her up I noticed odd behaviour and she was lighter. I thought her behaviour was due to the heat and she was mad at me for leaving her. She wouldn't eat or drink, so I took her to the vet the next day. Investigation showed Penny had injuries to her tongue, the vet suggested chemical damage or virus, I clawed Meadowmist to discuss and was told no chemicals used. When I asked if they noticed any odd behaviour the girl proceeded to tell me about all their experience. She told me Meadowmist [redacted personal identifier] would call me the next day to discuss my concerns. No one from Meadowmist called to discuss. Penny is on the mend with antibiotics and others.
I do not recommend Meadowmist to care for your pet.

We sent our 2 dogs here for a month & the care they received was superb, even to putting my "senior citizen" indoors overnight as they were both indoor dogs. Our Jasper really enjoyed having "playtime" catching the ball as he was young & full of energy.A good experience all round.
