So many restaurants along the waterfront .... where to go! We went along here based on previous experience and the good recommendation of our friends who were dining with us that particular evening.

I was impressed, good enough menu to suit most tastes ... yes its primarily Italian, so your pastas, salads, pizzas, fish, meat dishes are featured.

Of particular note I want to mention is my meal ... I ordered Seafood Linguini which was a generous portion of al dente pasta with lots of prawns, scallops, calamari (which were not stringy or chewy at all!!) & salmon pieces in olive oil, cherry tomatoe pieces, little garlic, chilli & fresh parsley (I think it was).

Since I am of Italian background, so I am super fussy when it comes to Italian cooking in a restaurant, i must say i was very impressed with my dish, I am not kidding or exaggerating when I say it was one of the best pasta dishes I have had (apart from my own cooking LOL).

Generous portion, so filling and I had to leave some pasta in my plate. It was very flavoursome and served piping hot.

My fellow dinner guests enjoyed garlic prawns and pizzas which they enjoyed too and said it was quite yum.

Definitely happy to go back again to this restaurant for a meal .. maybe try a pizza next time.

The prices are very reasonable for the location ... about $20 average, pizzas are cheaper. Definitely you get a good sized quality meal for the price.

Service was good, staff were smiling and polite.

Note to families ... there are high chairs for little ones and a kids menu for kiddies under 12 too!

Lovely Italian restaurant within the Docklands precinct. I have dined here many times over the years, both lunch and dinner, and by far my favourite dish is the warm chicken salad.

Some would consider this place expensive, however considering it in the heart of the Docklands restaurant precinct, I believe the prices are acceptable.

The staff have always been very nice to us on each occasion we have dined there and we've hand no issues with service, apart from being slow when the restaurant is at capacity (ie, mother's day, father's day, christmas, etc).

We came here for a late lunch and sat outside under the canopies. It was lovely to be dining al fresco, but I felt quite claustrophobic in the canopied area due to the lack of space. Because of the shrubbery, you could not also look out onto the water and the boats.

The food was of average quality. The chicken risotto was dry, and bland. The fish and chips were slightly better, but a little overcooked and oily. The seafood pasta was clearly a wrong choice, with insufficient napoli sauce, it was uninspiring. The prices were reasonable, but the customer service was lacking. We had friends join us halfway, but none of the staff came around with menus or offered to join a table so our friends could sit with us. They were slow to respond to our requests. In the end, I went to help myself to extra cutlery.

The quality of the Italian dishes were nice. Service was satisfactory, but a little slow as it was busy. Dishes were pretty pricey, not sure if I would come here again for Italian food at Docklands.

Medici in Docklands was alright. I can't say the service was quite fantastic as I hoped. I loved Italian food, but I only could describe this an an average. Certain dishes were pricey but I kept to a minimum seeing other food delivered at some tables.

One of the better ones at Docklands.
The servings are generous, and quality is dependable.
Staff are responsive and friendly.
A nice modern location, with good views, albiet a little out of the way in Docklands.

I have been here twice and both times enjoyed the food. Both times were on a busy Saturday night which could explain the difference in service, although it wasn't too bad. Yummy Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is noisy and crowded.

The so called management at this restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. We arrived to see a lovely bride and groom being photographed while sipping champagne and then outraged to see both the waiter and manager of the restaurant telling the couple to leave (quite rudely I might add!) whilst standing in front of the camera to block the photographer from taking anymore photographs. In the meantime, there is a huge queue of people waiting to be attended to being totally ignored. Extremely unprofessional and unwelcoming from the word go. When I mentioned to the Manager that I thought her actions were quite nasty, she told me that she didn't care what I thought and walked off in a huff! All night long, she was arguing with customers as they were paying their bills and then when our party of 24 were settling the bill, she abruptly announced that we were $3 short and demanded payment while looking down, counting all the cash and muttering under her breath. To our amazement, the owner of the restaurant was watching all of this happening and didn't say a thing. Never in my life have I dealt with such unprofessional, arrogant people. Don't even waste your hard earned cash on this place as they are interested in your money and nothing else!! If you want customer service, you definitely won't be finding it here. Definitely give this one a miss.

Approximate cost: $30.00
