As a wedding guest I can't really comment on the value as I don't know how much they paid per plate. I was expecting more from this place. The food was okay. Salmon was overcooked but the mango cheesecake was delicious, it filled the room with a mango smell. Service was okay. They weren't on the ball with filling your glass and I had to wait at times for a refill.
This place has a terrific view of the city. The food is great although in the expensive side. I love the decor and artistic feel. I have also checked out the function room. The function room upstairs is small but has spectacular views.
I have attended two weddings here. Both had great food although at one wedding, we were not allowed in at the specified time and had to wait outside (as the inside waiting room was full) in the freezing cold. In addition, they cleared the tables of napkins before desert was served and served the fruit platters while people were eating their mains still.
Yummy Turkish food with a great atmosphere. There is lots of variety and the desserts are fantastic as is the burek with cheese. There is a truly Middle Eastern feel down this road, as you will be able to tell.
We used our split the bill tokens here. The food and atmosphere is great, although there could be some minor improvements to service. Calamari as entree was delicious and the risotto was yum! It was mainly Italian cuisine.
Approximate cost: $20-$35 mains
This place has great Indian food. The restaurant is small and the decor has improved over time, but the food makes up for it. Great for a cheap eat. I love that is a 'great' local restaurant. It is very busy and popular so book ahead, even if it is to pick up food.
Approximate cost: $15-$20
This place has been recommended several times for The Age, Cheap eats guide. Outstanding for this category (Cheap eat). The food, service and atmosphere is great. There is also a beer garden and marquee for large functions outside. I am not a huge fan of the buzzers on the table or the toilet but its an authentic Indian Restaurant.
Approximate cost: $15-$20
If you're after real authentic Croatian food, the this is the place to eat. The food is delicious.Try traditional Sarma or Cvaps. Chicken soup is yummy as well. Top it off with some home made cakes. I've had a few weddings here and the venue is great as well.
Approximate cost: $15-$24
I have been here twice and both times enjoyed the food. Both times were on a busy Saturday night which could explain the difference in service, although it wasn't too bad. Yummy Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is noisy and crowded.
I wish I had read some reviews before going here a couple of weeks ago with my Herald Sun split the bill tokens. The service was poor. We had several people come up to us within a short time to ask for our order. I have been in the industry and was most disappointed. Serves were small but I am wondering whether our tokens had anything to do with that. Everyone in our group disliked the food:(
