Worst meals and service ever ! At arrival, they yell out from the bar and point to a table, you seat yourself. 15 minutes no menu yet, much less a drink. Our 3 meals came at 10 minute intervals, same for the table of 4 next to us.
The minced lamb skewers smelled rotten, and the lamb backstrap came with a long black hair in the salad. We didn’t eat these and called for the Manager. 20 minutes later he arrived and informed us that the skewers were fine, but he wouldn’t try some or even smell them. And he accused us of planting the hair in the meal ! For whatever reason ! Insane man.
This place is a hangout for the owners’ mates, and not for dining. He made us pay for what we wouldn’t eat. No apologies at all.
His motto on the menu.....” Our commitment is to treat every customer as a guest in our home.....”
Hate to see how he treats friends at his home !
Never, ever go to the Mediterranean Meza Restaurant , Melbourne St, Nth Adelaide !!! It won’t be there long.
I want my money back

Went for a couples dinner, thinking this place was Mediterranean Cafe Restaurant like in Glenelg which was great, the waitress was very helpful, no gluten free options to start with, then we were told of a few options to choose from, pizza not one of them, our meals took a long while to come out, not busy, ordered a coffee to start with, was not hot, told this is how it is meant to be, my partners pollo chicken was nice and I had the veal scallopine which was alright with the roast vegetables being warm not hot.

Approximate cost: $21.90

If you are looking for happy friendly people that serve you with a smile then I would suggest you look elsewhere!
I really wanted to try the pizzas here, as did my girlfriend. We ordered a salad (for my girlfriend) that took 15 minutes to come out, our pizza took an extra 20 minutes. The salad just looked like different coloured leaves - nothing special, didn't come with any dressing and our pizza - when it finally arrived was more on the cool side. Did not want to send it back - who knows what they would have done to it. I don't think they like you complaining.
Overall, it was horrible, terrible customer service and the food was definitely nothing special, more average. It wasn't busy, so no excuses.
We were really looking forward to eating here, but left disappointed.

Hi RedDwarf, what a scathing review! Unfortunately, there appears to be much mediocrity within the food industry these days, which is simply inexcusable. Thanks for the heads-up! Reeces

This is an interesting debacle!!

We ordered a take out on a quite evening. There were only 6 guests at tables.

We ordered an Aussie (ham and cheese) a Tandoori and a large Mediterranean Lamb. The girl taking the order was brilliant, helping us choose pizzas to suit our fussy children. She even read the order back to us and then told us it would be about 15 minutes.......30 minutes later we finally left.

When we arrived back to our accommodation, I opened the boxes to find the Aussie, a Tandoori which my husband considered overcooked and NO Mediterranean but something totally different.

My husband returned to the restaurant with two of the three pizzas and explained to the owner/manager the problem with the pizzas. My husband even wrote down on a piece of paper Tandoori Chicken and Mediterranean Lamb.

So when he returned to the hotel, he had four pizzas with him and was laughing when explaining they still got it incorrect. He came back with the original Tandoori, a Mediterranean lamb and the wrong pizza and a new Aussie.

I'm not sure if it was more the fact were past eating after all the problems, but the Aussie was delicious, the Tandoori was tasty, the wrong pizza was salty and the Mediterranean Lamb was so oily we had to hold it over a plate otherwise the oil would have run onto the carpet. I was so disappointed with the Mediterranean Lamb.

The meal was very disappointing, however the staff were really friendly. The owner/manager was very apologetic and offered my husband a complimentary drink for his trouble in returning, however my husband did decline because he simply wanted the correct pizza so he could eat dinner.

Even after reading your review, I would still like to try their pizzas. But not the Mediterranean Lamb!

nice to know the owner tried to help although it still was not correct. Sorry to learn of the problems. It was not a successful meal however.

Hi Ange, thanks for such a detail review. While itâ??s a plus that your husband was able to â??laugh it offâ??, not getting what one pays for is certainly not a laughing matter. Out of curiosity, was there a language barrier or could it simply be put down to incompetence? Regards, Reeces
