Their analysis left no stone unturned and they saved us big time by finding major damage to the structure of a building we had just bought, when others had missed it. I booked my first house inspection with MPI in late 2016 and ended up booking 7 in total. Cathy supported the entire process by booking inspections directly with real estate agents, letting me know when the inspection would be done and replying to any general queries that I had. Joe was one of the few inspectors that actually referenced the appropriate Australian Standards. I found the photos in the report useful as they provided objective evidence of what had been observed. The reports help us set realistic limits at auctions as we knew what work was required on the property we were bidding for - we walked away from a number of properties without regret. Joe developed an understanding of what kind of property we were looking for and what work we could realistically do on a property. There were some minor delays with written reports but Joe always provided a verbal summary and renegotiated completion of the written report within our requirements. Three agents commented to me upon the thoroughness of the inspections they observed. We felt confident with our eventual purchase. We recommend MPI to others for pre-purchase inspections and will use MPI to assist us with ongoing review of our family home.

We had Joe come and look at a property that we were looking at buying. The owners were a bit odd but Joe was so good at helping us with some valuable feedback that helped us set the price we offered. Very helpful and communicative I would highly recommend Melbourne Property Inspections.

We got Joe to inspect 2 properties for us. He was available on short notice and the report was really thorough. He was someone we felt we could trust which is important when your spending $500,000. The report is also reasonably priced.

I had never used an inspection service before and now wish i had. Joe found a number of defects including a fairly major one in a new apartment i was about to settle on and i know i would not have picked those faults up myself. the developer has since rectified all those faults so really happy and Joe and the report was very professional and personable.

We engaged Joe to perform pest/building inspections for 2 properties we were considering to purchase. The reports were very thorough and well supported by photos. Joe took the time to explain everything (and answer our many questions!). As a result we felt well informed and confident in the decisions we made. Money well spent. Highly recommended!

I engaged the services to inspect a large 7 unit investment block in Essendon. We received a Pest Inspection and Building Inspection. Upon the report we decided that the property would have cost too much to fix so we pulled out of the purchase. I have used Joe to inspect my new home during my construction stages. He has been fantastic and thorough. His reports are very clear. All I had to do is to hand the reports to my builder and they fixed the defects without asking any questions. As this is our first building experience, I had a lot of questions and Joe went over and beyond to answer all my questions and gave me advice. I would definitely recommend Joe to anyone.

Joe has done 2 inspections for us - one written and one verbal, and if you ever wanted someone to do a thorough and professional house inspection, Joe is the man. He is amazing - doesnt miss anything and based on his findings were avoided a potentially disastrous purchase that would would have cost us thousands to fix if he hadn't inspected as well as he does. Highly recommended - we wouldnt use anyone else!

Before entering into a contract for the first property, I engaged Melbourne Property Inspections to perform a property inspection on the building as I was not sure who should I look for at that stage. Joe was really helpful in terms of explaining the reports to me as I had questions for the rating of the risk level in the building structure. I was going to bid on a house at auction and got Joe to do a pre purchase inspection. We could not get access to the property until 2 days before auction. He called me the day after to give me a quick summary of the inspection and followed up with a very thorough written report. I found his work very detailed and it helped me establish a price for the house that I was comfortable with and pointed out issues that needed attention. I would recommend Joe highly.
