Absolutely rude customer service, felt very unwelcome and was there at 5:30 am, braught some pies which were the slightest bit warm then whilst looking at anything else to buy we got told in a rude manner “What do you want” with no smile, no communication and discrimination was the only thing I felt as I entered that store! The old lady was so rude she doesn’t deserve to be treating customers like she hates them or hates her job, quit your job lady

We stopped here on our way to Robe looking for some coffee and something to eat to hold us over for lunch. It was about 10am and it wasn't busy, yet they seemed to take forever to serve us. NO hello or smile, just straight down to business, I thought if this is how you are in the morning, what about the afternoon. Besides the lack of customer service we did find this bakery to be real value for money. Can can buy coffee or hot chocolate (any size) plus you choice of cake for only $5.50. The coffee was perfect and my apple/custard crumble was just to die for, so yummy. Our son had a large hot chocolate and the biggest donut we had ever seen. Everything was fresh and delicious and very reasonably priced. So if you can ignore the service you will love their delicious food.

We have stopped here a few times on our way to Robe for some lunch. The place is tucked away off the main road. It is not the nicest looking place, it could do with a spruce up.
On our last occasion visiting here it was busy and only one person serving even though we could see 3 other staff walking around the back doing nothing. The service here is never good, no hello, no smile no thank you have a good day. All staff look grumpy and like they don't want to be there. For a shop that would rely heavily on tourists passing through they could learn a lot about customer service.
We were there around 12pm but they had nothing in their pie warmer. Everything people were asking for they said they didn't have heated up.
The quality of the food is good but the service is a let down, we wont be returning and will stop at the Taliem Bend Bakery instead.

Approximate cost: $5.00

I know what you mean by being unfriendly. We stopped here on our way to robe and no hello, no smile and no thank you. Yummy food but terrible customer service.

I stopped in at this bakery the other day and I must say I was disappointed. The place looked a little dingy but adequate for a small bakery where you could sit down and have a quick bite. The service was ok although only one person out of the three behind the counter was actually serving. The food did not look very appealing and I opted for just a hedgehog slice as I thought not much could go wrong with that. It tasted nice. I did not buy anything else and will not be returning. I am a little fussy about good cream and decent chocolate used on the sweet food so this bakery would probably more suited to workers or people passing through who just want to grab something quick.

This bakery has great pastry goods and cakes and bread. Always purchase a sausage roll here for my husband which is one of his favourites. They sell coffee and have tables and chairs so that you can eat in. This is good if you are travelling through. Also parks available nearby if you want to have a picnic.

Whilst we found their coffee and cakes to be delicious, this bakery certainly lacks any customer service, rather unfriendly.
