After my building experience with Metricon I would never consider them again. They don’t build to the Australian standards as per private inspector reports.

Poor construction of the slab has resulted in the slab sinking in one corner of the house by 38mm in 4 years. QBCC and Metricon both blamed the trees on the nature strip. Have spend $17k on 2 metre deep root barriers around the house and there was not one root to be found when digging the trench.

Not a great first build experience, none of the team were all that helpful despite our lack of knowledge and experience. The work standard dropped as the build went on and the team have been trying to put off/ignore fixing the issues. They also haven't taken responsibility for an oversight on their behalf meaning more work, cost and stress for us. Really disappointing considering we were so excited to be building and we like the design of the house.

We had worked with a Metricon new home advisor for few months and signed a ore contract late last year and since then Metricon stopped communicating with us, Sales person not responding to emails for phone calls anymore. After 5 weeks we rang the head office to find out what is going on, they apparently gave our file to a different person without notifying us and now we are left in limbo and wondering if this is how they are treating us now then what should we expect during construction
