5 reviews about Modbury Veterinary Clinic

Had to pay $65 for a follow up 5 minute visit and quote for X-rays when my usual vet would have done this for free. The quote for X-rays was twice the price of local competitors as well. Money grabbing business best to avoid.

Imagine having just lost your beloved family cat of over 16 years, and all the heartache and sadness that comes along with that. You arrange for him to be cremated by the wonderful people at the Animal Welfare League, so you may keep a tangible memory of him for the rest of your life.
It takes three days, and the remains will be delivered to the vet he went to for most of his life.
Then you discover that after the urn is delivered, he is put into a cupboard and forgotten. No one at the vet surgery bothers to contact you and let you know he is there. For 4 days he sat in that cupboard, until I chased up the AWL to find out where he was.
It was clearly marked with my name, pet’s name and I’m damn sure they have my contact details on file but instead of calling me, they were put into a cabinet and forgotten about. I had to call them to find out where he was.
It’s been almost 2 weeks and I’m still angry and upset thinking that he was just sitting there alone when he should have been home with his family.
Not to mention, when my daughter & I went to pick him up, the nurse lied and said the had been delivered that morning.
Make you own judgement about their actions, but I will never be a customer of theirs again.

The practice manager is a disgrace. Would highly recommend against going to this clinic. Very over priced for the lack of service you receive. Very very rude and inconsiderate management staff.

Very caring. When the decision was made to have my elderly dog put to sleep due to numerous health issues and him being in constant pain, my family and I were devastated but the vet and vet nurse were compassionate and understanding. R ( vet nurse who now works at the Salisbury clinic) was always available to talk on the phone with me prior to me making the decision. Some time afterwards she suggested I get a puppy, and two years later I'm so glad I did. Everyone at the clinic has been great.

These guys seem to charge a lot less than other vets. They are very caring - I had my puppy desexed there and I was very happy with the care and the cost. They gave me follow up notes to keep as a reference so i could keep an eye on my puppy after the operation and know what to let him do and not do.

Approximate cost: $160
