I have been going there for five years now (since I started work at Monash University). I have had all the staff do my hair. Some are gone now some are still there. I have had foils, colours, cuts and blow-wave styles. I have never been unhappy with the quality. Once I was unhappy with the colour but that was my decision. Honestly- best value around. Those who go in for a Toorak experience will be disappointed as it is a suburban business aimed at students. along with doing the student side of things very well they are also able to keep University staff happy.

Honestly the worst place I've ever had my hair cut. I've tried both the girls that work on Friday a couple times each to give them the benefit of the doubt, but each time is a horrible debacle, with dents all over my hair. And when you complain, they'll say you're too fussy, chose the wrong haircut, have the wrong shaped head, or blame the ethnicity of your hair. Do not go here, unless you want to laugh at their incompetence (and at the freak you'll like afterwards).

Really low quality. Even I can tell the cut was uneven. Honestly I can cut myself better than she did. Also treated me like a sheep. Flipped my head around brutally. Anyway, definitely not recommend for anyone.

Extremely friendly hairdressers that are usually able to accommodate at short notice! I went there to get a new look and basically my only instruction was I want a bob hairstyle. The hairdresser reconfirmed with me if that was what I really wanted before she started chopping my long hair off. She knew what she was doing, even without me showing any picture. I was more than satisfied.

I went in again to have my fringe trimmed and I got a free trim! She said "I only took a few hairs off, literally". What's not to love about these ladies?

I have only had a few hairdressers in my lifetime. I started going to Monash Hair and Beauty when I moved to Monash University. I have tried out two hairdressers there and they have both been very good. It's fairly easy to get an appointment on short notice and they usually run on time. I usually get a cut, blow wave and overall hair colour for $100 which is a fair price.

Got my hair done at Rok Ebony Wellington Village, a year ago (looked crap!). Too scared to go back to a hairdresser since, but came here and Monash Hair and Beauty are the best!
They literally only cut off as much as you tell them, and they shape it nicely.

These guys are great! They give a wonderful haircut for an unbelieveable price.
My only (ONLY) problem is that they let you walk out with wet, unstyled hair, but for $20 it's not really an issue.
I would definitely recommend them to all my Monash friends. :)

They do mens hair cuts for $2o, which I believe is excellent value. All the women working there do an excellent job. They are usually able to book you in for an appointment on the same day.

They all know what they are doing and really friendly. I wont go anywhere else now :) plus they are cheaper than most other hair dressers I have been to

I used to only get my hair cut when I absolutely had to because I hated the experience. I always went round choosing a new hairdresser each time I had to face the dreaded scissors. I actually look forward to going back to Monash hairdressers (especially Mel) because the experience is pleasant and they've done exactly what I want with my hair. I don't have to worry about leaving looking bad, because it has never happened. I think they're brilliant at their job. And aren't overpriced!
