So disappointed - we used to like going here but have had our order mucked up on 5 occasion as now and is getting beyond giving them a second chance. I have also had a staff member rudely answer the phone at 8:30 on a Saturday night and yell " we are closed" and hang up. Tonight was much the same, i rang after our order was wrong and said I would drive the food back if they could please re make our order and I got a reply of " your order was right you probably are not looking hard enough" and then hung up! You have lost me as a customer
I think they need to learn the differents between fish.
4 times I have been here, all of which I have asked for blue grenadier. The last 2 times I mad myself clear that I wanted blue grenadier. But every single time I have got butter fish???
Everything else is good, but if I ask for something 4 times. I obviously expect it...
Unfortunately the staff members who actually knew are long gone. Apparently there was some sexual harassment occurring from one of the male staff members which equated to the three girls that were there when I was driving for them twelve months ago to leave, one of which was the manager. Although even when I was there, they only ever got two different types of fish in - flake and butterfish. Everything else were just excuses to charge more for the same product. I would actually advise against Monte's anyway, to be honest. Fair Dinkum, while it's on the other side of town, have been the best I've had since moving to Ballarat from Maryborough in late 2014, and they cost a little bit less an you get more for your money.
The pizza's are really greasy and fell apart while we ate them. We eventually gave up and fed them to the dog, even he wasn't to interested in them. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

The 3 pizzas & garlic bread for $20 is good value, however the pizzas were disappointing. The bases taste like they are pre-made, tasting very much like Pizza Hut's Pizza Mia bases, which are gross. Toppings were generous and good quality, however the pizza sauce tastes too strongly of tomato paste and is a bit unpleasant. I haven't tried the fish & chips but suspect they are really just a fish & chip shop trying to do pizzas on the side.
I've eaten here about 3 times since Monte took over from Golden Perch. The fish and chips were good and retained the crunch since I ate pretty soon after buying. The kebab was also good and messy like they usually are. The day I tried to order the lasagne they didn't have any. I'll go back again and try the pizza and pasta. The staff were friendly and they smiled.

We tried them after a recommendation from a work colleague that they do good pizzas. I have to admit they were quite nice pizza's. All pizzas come on a standard thin-ish crust, wasn't greasy like most of the franchise pizza chains. Just the right amount of topping. They had a meal deal on which was 3 large pizzas plus a garlic bread for $20 which is pretty reasonable value. Quick service, clean surrounding... only negative thing I would say was limited soft drink options in the fridge, but the supermarket is the next block over so order and take a walk if you don't like normal coke. Overall pretty good pizza's.

Not surprising. I used to drive for them before the ownership changed and have heard since I left there last year that things have gone downhill something shocking. I haven't had anything from there myself since working there, though.
