We booked this 2.5 hr experience after first checking it was a proper day spa with a private relaxation lounge and not just a salon and we’re told yes it was a proper day spa. Two days prior to arrival I received a message saying spa bath was broken but no mention that the private lounge was in the spa bath area. We booked a pedicure instead to go with our massages & facial. We arrived and were seated in the “relaxation lounge” - a tiny corner of reception with a few chairs where we got to listen to the maintenance man talking about the heating problem in the building. No change area, no robes or slippers, nowhere to put our things. We were then taken into a room for our pedicure with a tv showing the horse racing with door left wide open. No offer to put out clothes or bag anywhere, we had to put our jackets on the floor. Our ‘foot bath’ was in “just warm” water in a plastic Kmart tub. I was lucky to have a footstool, my partner had to balance his foot on the edge of the plastic tub as only one stool. Massage & facial was very average done in a brightly lit room, no nice smelling oils and could hear everything going on in reception. Not relaxing at all. Afterwards we couldn’t stay in the reception “lounge” if you can call it that as 4 other customers came in and was so awkward with not enough seating we felt we had to leave. Waste of money, cramped, noisy, felt cheap. The therapists were nice but unfortunately they don’t have the environment or equipment provided to offer a great service. May be ok for a quick massage but do not waste your money on a “spa experience” here as you will leave very disappointed.
