On our first day on holiday we stopped here at this bakery for lunch. Large building with good parking available. It was very busy but we were served in a timely way and I enjoyed my chicken sandwich and my husband had his pie. Also 2 milkshakes completed our lunch and we were on our way again.

An excellent bakery and cafe in the heart of Bordertown.

They have an excellent selection of cakes and slices. The vanilla slice is delicious.

The pies and pasties etc are very nice as well

There are some excellent historical displays in the cafe and it is a great place to break your trip.

On route driving from Melbourne to South Australia, we called into this bakery for our lunch stop.

Its a big sized bakery/cafe with lots of table seating available, bonus too, high chairs for babies!!

The bakery offers a good selection of pies, pasties, sausage rolls, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, cakes/sweets etc

I had a steak and mushroom pie which was delicious, piping hot and lots of filling.

Definitely its a favourite place for us to stop for our rest from driving and to have something good to eat!

A great place to stop when travelling between Adelaide and Melbourne. Located next to a nice park with some old police cells used as toilets. I loved all the hertiage items and displays all through the shop. They have a vast amount of yummy bakery products for you to choose from. This place can get very busy and it is not unusual to have to wait awhile for your food. Prices overall are fairly good.

Called in coming back from Adelaide. Very impressed with the old displays and also very impressed with the vast array of overhead boards displaying items to order. Began to order lunch when we were abruptly told "the kitchen is closed, all we have is the pie oven items and a few bagels." Directed to a fridge which was empty (was full of sandwiches according to staff). Fed the kids with what was left, and ordered nothing for ourselves. Won't be back.

Approximate cost: $12

This is a nice bakery with nice food and friendly service. We stopped in here for lunch on our way to Melbourne and it was a pleasant surprise. The shop itself is nicely themed and you could spend some time just looking around it. We took our food out into the pretty park next door, which also has toilets - a very convenient lunch stop.
