They've recently updated the menu for the buffet, which is great to see. It is still the same morrocan theme of dips, rice and stews etc, but with different stew and grain/pulse combos.
$25 still gets you a great wholesome meal, with enough takeaway for another day (aka meals in one).

Went and had dinner here last night. The place is only small and they only do bookings for groups. We got there are 6.15 and could only get a booking for 7.30 (wednesday night). There is a bar next door which is convenient for having to wait.

The menu is all spoken and you can purchase a main for $13 but the best option is the banquet- $20 or $25 per person. The $25 option includes more side dishes.
Entres is flat bread and variety of dips, cheese and grilled vegetables and peppermint tea.
Main meals are all vegetarian and are a combination of vegetables, cous cous, chick pea and rice dishes. dont know a lot about moroccan food but all delicious and for any type of eater.
The banquet also includes deserts and coffee.

Well worth the money, they also do taike away but you have to bring your own containers.

Approximate cost: $20

Sounds like a great place. I'm not vegetarian but I still would love to try out what they have to offer. Great review :)

What a great little vegetarian restaurant.
You don't order from a menu it is a set banquet that is shared with the rest of your dining companions & everyone has the same. I was quite surprised and happy with what we got though & I am not vegetarian but still enjoyed it.
You cannot buy or bring in alcohol but there is plenty of bars in this area you can go to before or after your meal.
The price is unbeatable and inclusive of everything.

I recommend trying it at least once there is usually a wait but i think ti's worth it.

In a nutshell, it is rustic middle eastern vegetarian food.
We get the takeaway banquet which is $18pp (you bring your own containers/tuppaware). This is much preferable to sitting the restaurant which is usually crowded and noisy. You can eat leisurely in the tranquil surrounds of home (or in a park etc).
The food is really nice middle eastern comfort food. Think creamy chickpea bake, middle eastern version of ratatouille, dahl, various dips etc.

If you haven't tried the Moroccan Soup Bar, you must do so soon! It really is a Melbourne Institution.

The food is all fresh and pretty yummy. I've only ever had the banquet, which is whatever the kitchen brings you! A selection of dishes to share. Great for groups of people who all eat at a similar rate, which sadly I don't! I just need to remember to place enough food on my plate earlier on before the less sharing conscious gobble it all up!

The reason for me not giving a higher rating is that although the food while lovely is a little too much like what I cook at home. Not really restaurant quality imo. That being said the price allows for that downside.

The staff, atmosphere and service are all good. Oh and it's vegetarian! Another plus in my book :-) on the downside, it is dry. No alcohol, although there is a cute little bar next door, the Monkey Bar, to catch up for a drink before or after your meal if you are that way inclined.

Approximate cost: $20

Wow this place is AMAZING! I love traditional Morrocan food and particularly how the staff are the same. We waited two months to go and it was definitely worth the wait. Real value for money I was so full afterwards and cost me $25 to share a banquet for two.

Approximate cost: $25

This is one of my favorite places to eat, the food is delicious, there's always a wide variety and it's great value for money. The only thing that puts me off going is that there is always a wait and you cannot book a table in advance (unless you have 6+ eating). However there is a nice little bar next door where you can go for a drink while you are waiting for a table.

Amazing food here for an average looking place. Price wise is incredible for portion size and taste. A cozy ambience without being pretentious. The only downside is the wait to get in and they don't do reservations for parties under 6 which is annoying so expect a little wait!
