Beware of breeding colonies of rats and water leakage in the "MOVE ON REMOVERS" storage facilities.

In November 2017 my House has been flooded by raw sewerage. All my belonging and furniture have to be removed to the storage.
Looking through website, reading numerous a positive review on all forum of social media, I have made my choice.
The Representative from "MOVE ON REMOVERS" promised everything, that I have requested. Also, he asked for positive feedback from me to my insurance company,
and I have written the positive review.
February 19/02/2019,after 13 months staying in Hotel and storing my furniture and belongings in" MOVE ON REMOVERS" storage facilities, I have moved back to the newly- restored House. At this point in time my problem has begun:
. My newly-restored House has been contaminated with rats from boxes that moved from the " MOVE ON REMOVERS"
storage.
. Some of the cotton and woollen belongings has been shredded and destroyed by rats.
. The Assessor from "MOVE ON REMOVERS" has come to assessing the situation next day and took photos of the shredded and damaged goods by rats and their droppings and urine. The rats can spread diseases and cause the serious property damage once inside of the House.
. "MOVE ON REMOVERS" refused to provide the ASSESSOR`s report.
. The request to removed from my backyard half of 55 unpacked boxes has been rejected.
.The half of 55 packed with books boxes are still inside of the House.
. The more surprises are waiting for me to unpacking the boxes with books.
The first Representative who was involved previously has disappeared.
The different people handle this difficult situation now. The charges by "MOVE ON REMOVERS" for the moving process from their storage facilities to my House are $679.00 for 2 people for 4 hours or $170 p/h.
The good news is my last monthly storage payment of $450 has not been paid. At least , it gives partially the compensation for the damaged belongings and the contamination of my House.
We have not reached an agreement.
In the early of March I have sent a draft of my review and the photos of the shredded and damaged by rats and water leakage goods to "MOVE ON REMOVERS".
I have received a call from company in the first week of March. It was a one-sided conversation. I have been feeling uneasy about the way people have been trying insult my intelligence and offering compensation of $400.

The "MOVE ON REMOVERS"has sent threatening and intimidation an email, if this review be published.
The "MOVE ON REMOVERS" are not a member of any Australian Furniture Removers Association.
The solution is the Australian legal system.
Our move date happened to be on the hottest day of the year and the guys didn’t complain once. Friendly, professional and efficient!
Thank you to the staff of move on removals from the office down to the men in the removal truck on making our move to South Yarra over the weekend such a easy experience. The men were very helpful and very courteous. I would recommend the company to friends and family.
The original removalists we had booked for our moving day changed the time at the last minute, which didn’t fit in with our settlement time. In a panic I rung Move On Removals in the morning of our moving day, told them the story, and Gerri assured me she would organize a truck for us. 2 hours later we had a truck and 2 men at our house! Julien and Rene were absolutely fantastic! They were professional, courteous, very careful with everything, quick, and true gentlemen. I can’t say enough nice words about them. And Gerri was just amazing organizing it at the last minute. They turned a very stressful situation into a positive one! Would highly recommend them!
Great service and a well rounded customer service. Movers were polite, friendly and did everyrhing they can to ensure our items are protected. They made the move a lot easier.Thanks!
I thought with all the reviews I have read, they will be good.
But actual service was not. Items have been damaged whilst in transit and I tried claiming insurance after the move. But they said it needs to be done on that day of move which unfortunately no one told us that day. (It was in the T and Cs signed in the invoice in regards to insurance therefore they are not liable).
The office team is not helpful either (no customer service and rude) and in the end it was bad experience for us.
My advise : please get away from them. And if you do engage them, remember to lodge a complaint/claim on that day of the move itself should something goes wrong.

I feel it is unfortunate that you feel the need to leave a bad review on us when we did the job at hand for you, and at a price to our company. As well as that you have questioned our very integrity by suggesting that our reviews are not real. Please, feel free to contact a few of the customers and ask them yourself! Perhaps them you would not feel it necessary to defame our name.
We had several contacts with your husband in the morning, and also have a signed liability form from him from when the move took place. He was the one that requested the time changes. As the team leader attempted to contact your husband as he had told us you were in hospital, the team made every effort to accommodate the changes he requested. this was done to your number and another supplied by your husband, as the team leaders phone records show. We had staff waiting for word from him before moving forward. The same staff that have gone out of their way to give you a refund of some of the time out of goodwill. In regards to the costing, you were made aware of the price in a quote before you booked, so you can fairly compare the pricing. I find it strange that you called before the move to say your husband was not happy with the price, but decided to go ahead with the move as you would miss out on the deposit amount. You were not prepared to listen to any other point of view on this move, and I feel that you will never see it from the point of a small business that does it's best every day to keep people in jobs.
In regards to your claim, please ask your husband about that. He and the team leader spoke about the flimsy bookcase backing on the day, and he disregarded it, knowing it was flimsy. Also, to reiterate, absolutely no company would follow up on a claim that is made over 2 weeks following a move. No insurance company would allow it. I spent so much time on the phone with you, trying to see your point of view, but you would not allow yourself to see mine. I am sorry you felt you had to do this to a small Australian business that did nothing but it's absolute best to assist you.

1. Its a wardrobe not a bookshelf. Please check your email again.
2. Its 4 days after the move that I contacted you for a claim. And you said you will check with your colleauge. NOT 2 weeks. Again, please check your email.
3. I verified with my husband plenty of times on your side of story. False.
Please do not contact me anymore as that is an act of intimidation.
The moving team was both prompt and friendly. they came highly ranked on google and they did not disappoint on the day, i would highly recommend them.
