great value store for computer accessories, massive reductions and price differences compared to major retailers

staff are okay but i would recommend you read up on what exactly it is that you want - i think this store is more for tech-savvy customers not first time buyers

I was in here a week or so ago and they've cleaned up their image a bit. No messy box stacks but clean and neat display cupboards. Still got the same amazing range and good prices but now appear a little more professional.

amazingly cheap store for computers and other accessories - highly recommend it only for those who know their stuff though - we went here to buy a laptop for my brother and i, and he knew exactly what he wanted since he was quite tech savvy and he bought a laptop worth 500 when it was 800 in harvey norman so hands down 5 stars in terms of value

i find it a bit intimidating to ask for help though, it was very busy when we arrived and everyone was talking tech jargon so i had to ask my brother to choose a laptop for me instead

one thing i don't like however is how they close at 2pm

This amazing little shop cannot be judged by its appearance. It's in a small shop front on a very busy corner with hardly any parking available. A small entrance/showcase area with boxes lining the walls and then the serving desk with the shop going off after that in rows of shelves of stock for the staff only to access.

It is best to know what you want. They sell everything possible for computers in a no nonsense, no frills, good prices only kind of way. If you start asking how to do something the knowledgeable customers behind you know they are going to have to wait. They will help you but it's not that sort of shop.

You can come with a list of stuff, and they run around and get it all for you. They have things cheaper here than anywhere else in Melbourne. You can put together your own computer from their bits and custom it however you like. They also have camera cards much cheaper than stores.

A nerd paradise.

Their website can often be a little off so it's best to ring first to ask about availability in case you were counting on that motherboard or sound card, so you won't be disappointed.

Opening hours are good, plenty of time after work to visit and on the weekends too.

A great shop for all your technology needs and doesn't waste your time with any sales pander - just get it and go.

Approximate cost: $Cheaper than other computer shops

This is a relatively new branch of the chain that, as far as I know, offer the lowest priced computer parts of any retailer in Australia. Unlike the other branches, the waiting times to be served have not yet built up very much at this branch.

The service is still businesslike and it pays to know what you want before you go, but at least at this branch they usually have time to answer a couple of questions before they run around grabbing the things on your shopping list.

If your in the market for a desktop PC, I suggest you build your own and all the parts you need are available here unless you need something particularly rate and high end.

The quality is the same as you would get anywhere, since computer parts come from a limited group of manufacturers. Don't be deceived by fancy packaging: the computers on offer in expensive shops are made with the same components you'll buy here at a small fraction of the cost.

I have shopped here a few times. The lines can be long but thats just because they are more than happy to explain anything that you are unsure about. On the other hand, if you know exactly what you want they will have it for you in a second, straight in straight out, its up to you.

One of the few pc stores around that actually has stock on the shelves so if you want to browse without pesky salespeople around you can look at the boxes and compare them yourself. Of course not everything is on the shelves.

I bought two Hard Drives there, and they didn't make me feel silly because i came back within 5 minutes because i forgot to get sata cables for them. They are open until 6:30 weekdays so i can pop in after work.

Very competitive amongst prices, one of the best in Victoria, and because they have many stores there is one near you.

If you are looking for it, its near the corner of Geelong and Millers road in Brooklyn, parking is limited.
