I went to Larsen jewellery to purchase an engagement ring for my (now) fiancée. I was naughty and walked in without an appointment but was seen to immediately by Kate. We then spoke for a while about what i was after as they specialise individually designed rings. Not once did she try and up-sell me or make me feel my questions were stupid, even when i asked about pink diamonds on my budget!

Kate then went and sourced me the most beautiful major diamond for me to inspect before we went ahead and committed to the ring. She was able to get me the pink diamonds i wanted also.

Five or so weeks later I had the most beautiful ring in my hand. Everyone was so nice and professional making this the best shopping experience I've have had for anything, ever. Definitely going back for the wedding rings!

I had left it late and only had 2 days before I needed to get my bike serviced. After many calls to motorcycle mechanics who were either fully booked or simply didn't return my calls, I was able to secure a booking with Peter Stevens in Geelong. They were very professional on the phone and even more in person. You really did feel like they wanted your work and it was a pleasure to do it. They kept my helmet and gloves safe so i was free to roam the Geelong CBD (about a 10 min walk away) and they called me as soon as the service was complete which was almost exactly how long they said it would take (3hrs).

After experience with dealerships who treat you like servicing your bike is an inconvenience, it was great to find somewhere who treated me like a valued customer and treated my bike the same they would a much more expensive machine. When i dropped it off the mechanic explained to me point by point what would happen in the service and then again went over it at the end to show what they did do.

I am DEFINITELY making the ride back down there from Melbourne when my 12,000k service is up.

Nice pizza place with a dine in restaurant and take away. I have not dined in, only taken away.

When calling up to order before picking up the man on the other end of the phone spoke very quickly (as can happen when you do it many times).

I order Aussie pizzas which turn up above average, nothing amazing, but very good. Service is prompt and courteous and there is seating for waiting for your pick up.

I have shopped here a few times. The lines can be long but thats just because they are more than happy to explain anything that you are unsure about. On the other hand, if you know exactly what you want they will have it for you in a second, straight in straight out, its up to you.

One of the few pc stores around that actually has stock on the shelves so if you want to browse without pesky salespeople around you can look at the boxes and compare them yourself. Of course not everything is on the shelves.

I bought two Hard Drives there, and they didn't make me feel silly because i came back within 5 minutes because i forgot to get sata cables for them. They are open until 6:30 weekdays so i can pop in after work.

Very competitive amongst prices, one of the best in Victoria, and because they have many stores there is one near you.

If you are looking for it, its near the corner of Geelong and Millers road in Brooklyn, parking is limited.

I have eaten there many times with my workmates for lunch. Personally i like the plum noodles. The sweet n sour is too sweet, the taste of pineapple is overwhelming.

My boss is very particular about his noodle places but he recommends this shop for their curry laksa's. You can eat in or take away. At lunch times they are very affordable, dropping their noodle dishes from a ~$9 price tag to a flat rate currently (as of 4/08) $7.50

It can be located outside the food court, near Nandos and subway.

This review is for Wah Sing Take Away Food, Altona North VIC

Good little chinese take away and restaurant. Not the kind of place to have a romantic meal, but good for a quick work lunch or casual meal.

The food is good. The honey chicken i ordered came with the honey separate, which is a matter of preference. Personally i find it a little messy.

Prices seem average for a chinese take away, it will cost a bit, but the portion sizes are good. There was 3 containers between the two of us. One rice, honey chicken and a beef dish, we did not finish it all.

First of all, this is not a restaurant in the sense of "lets go eat at Tong Sing", you take away. The waiting area is nothing but a bench and a few stools while you wait.

The food itself is quite good, however i am in no way an expert. The man serving is very generous with a smile. My girlfriend likes how the honey chicken comes with crispy noodles in the box, rather than some other's who prefer to give you the chicken and the honey separate.

The food is a little pricey, but fits right in with the Chinese takeaway field.

Dropped in there a few nights ago to get some take away.

First of all the decor is a little dark, and for some reason it has a laser jukebox (plays music videos) not very fitting for a pizza restaurant.

The lady taking our order, one of the pizza makers, didnt really look like she wanted to be there. She wasn't short, or rude, just unenthusiastic.

I ordered a Aussie, no onion, the girlfriend ordered the Pineapple. In the Pineapple the fruit kind of clumped to the middle, not very spread out. In my Aussie the middle was thick and a little undercooked, leaving it feel like soggy scrambled eggs. However, neither of the pizza were greasy, which is a big plus.

Both ours were smaller sized pizzas, perhaps the larger sizes would cook better. Also neither of us sampled the pasta. As a pizza place i wouldn't recommend it, but dont discount the pasta, it could be a surprise.

I have had two haircuts there since Charlie took the business over. I dont go for the fancy stuff, just a good trim to keep it nice and neat.

Conversation can be short, however he can be coaxed into a conversation if you like. He is open saturday morning until 1, however if its a slow day, he is known to leave early

This review is for Borrack Square Charcoal Chicken & Salad Bar, Altona North VIC

verified email - 29 Apr 2008

I have purchased from her a few times. Their chicken burgers are great, and the girlfriend enjoys the salad bar. All the salads seem home made and are delicious.

They use La Ionica chickens which are meant to be good, you can seem them be spit roasted infront of your eyes, delicious whole chickens are available.

The "packs" they have dont seem all that much of a bargain, and when i buy them I find that the burger fills me up, leaving the chips begging. The chips are a little on the salty side, but you could request to turn that down a little.
