I have been disappointed by this place so many times.
$32 for battered fish that i could get across the road for half the price is not what I call good value. It would have been acceptable if it was well battered and cooked but it was very floury and the batter was way to think.
I will not return
Approximate cost: $32.00
A great place! Service is very nice. Scallops, fried tiger prawns and mussels there are simply the best! And the location is beautiful. Loved that place.
Expensive, but worth it for the excellent seafood and the wonderful views, as well as the quality service. Has been a favourite for the 20 years I've lived in Hobart. Lovely atmosphere.
Approximate cost: $25
5 star dining! High quality produce and service. Ambience warm and friendly. Great for any occasion.... Great for client venue. Highly recommended!
The food at Mures is certainly worth what you pay for although it is a very expensive place to eat. We go here for special occasions and always thoroughly enjoy the experience. The atmosphere is nice, staff friendly and they generally cater for vegetarians.
Approximate cost: $30
You get what you pay for. Here, ata resonable price you receive qaulity seafood, great service, a variety fo dishes, and great views of the Hobart harbour. A dining must.
Approximate cost: $20.00
Enjoyed a three course meal and the food was great, staff were friendly, very packed though and noisy, many tables crammed in close, but enjoyed the experience.
Approximate cost: $22
I am a big fan of this place, as I regularly do lunch there. I have gone of an evening, but I think its a little pricey of a night. There lunch deal went up about 6 months ago. Its now $30 for two courses, or $35 for three this includes a glass of wine if you are solo and a whole bottle if there is two people (not sure how it works with more). Menu for lunch special is limited but its a really outstanding deal. Whatever you do, eat the fudge they serve. I have seen people leave it behind and it just makes me cry - the fudge is lovely!
Approximate cost: $25
Still a great place for lunch, and still too expensive for dinner. Would like to see the lunch special have a nicer dessert - but you cant have everything!
Mures Upper Deck has just been fully refurbished and the new look is lovely, although it can be hard to concentrate on the decor given the outstanding views of the surrounding docks across to the old IXL building. Dishes are predominantly seafood - the platter in particular is fantastic, my favourite non-seafood dish is the lamb backstrap on polenta. Look out for the two and three course deals at lunchtime too for great value. Staff are lovely and helpful without being intrusive
