I loved going to Mures with my family as a young child, we would get dressed up and look out over the waterfront, but sadly my recent experience was less than average, the service in fast food restaurants would be much better. The server was clearly not happy to be working on a Friday night, despite the restaurant not being overcrowded we waited a 75 minutes for meals to be served and even then one meal was returned to the kitchen.

I have only bothered going here just the once, the food was okay no better than what you could obtain downstairs, the service was dreadful, we waited 15 minutes to be seated despite having a booking, it took another 30-40 minutes to get drinks and meals were equally as bad- had a staff member acknowledged our wait time and apologized I wouldn't of left with such a sour taste in my mouth.

I have been to Mures Upper Deck a few times and struggle to see the hype about this place. It's basically like Mures Lower Deck but instead of your food being served in a woven basket it's put on a plate. The daiquiris are delicious though! Also great views of the harbor!

Looking for someplace to eat and end up coming to Mures by chance. No booking, but they find us a table. Seems good so far. But then we were left waiting for about 15 minutes and it was quite obvious we were looking for some service. Eyed about 5 different wait staff. Eventually, someone comes and serves us. So disappointing to what was our first night in Hobart.
The food itself was good, but nothing spectacular. Their seafood platter was a 2 tier affair with cold on the top and deep fried on the bottom. Deep fried was very average, but it was redeemed by the cold on top, with a selection of raw seafood and some pickled stuff too.

I have heard similar stories about bad service there, I'd rather go to lower deck myself!

I love seafood, and couldn't go past a nice meal at a restaurant sitting on the wharf. It was easy to get to off the main street and I managed to get a car park so close that I almost fell out of my car and into the restaurant.

I ordered a Caesar Salad and Pan Fried tiger prawns. It was all very fresh and tasty. The service was outstanding too! Was quite impressed with the whole experience, particularly the Elderberry juice. Cannot wait to get back there!

I've visited this restaurant twice, both times for lunch. The first experience was great, mouth-watering steak that melted in my mouth and although not a large serve it was adequate. Unfortunately the second visit was a major disappointment. I actually ordered the same meal as I had loved it so much the first time. However, on this occasion I was extremely disappointed. The steak seemed tough and sinewy and the taste and presentation of the vegetables were also lacking on this occasion. For a "fine dining" restaurant the food quality on this occasion was definitely not up to par. The other complaint on this occasion was the exceedingly hot room. I understand there are large glass windows and it was the middle of the day but that is what an airconditioning thermostat is for! I don't enjoy sweating while eating and my query regarding the air temperature was met with indifference by the wait staff. As this restaurant is rather pricey I won't be returning after this bad experience.

A very good dining experience. Very good quality seafood but a tad on the very expensive side. I wish I could come here more often. The views however are to die for - wonderful view of the sea and sometimes you are able to catch a glimpse of the Mures boat too :)

Lovely setting however as our first resteraunt experience in Hobart I was disappointed after ordering the seafood platter for 2. It was quite expensive and was definitely lacking in quantity, served with chips and dips.

For anyone that loves seafood, this is a must. I had the Seafood Platter for 1, which was great. It gave a good variety of local produce prepared in a unique but delicious way. There is also a nice range of wines to accompany your meals.
