I recently went to Muse for the first time the other night. The waiter was extremely helpful and polite and the food is just amazing!!!

We ordered tapas and each dish was delicious! I highly recommend the filo pastry! That was my favourite out of all the dishes we ordered.

The desserts were quite nice, but not as nice as the meal. The churros are a bit disappointing, they are very small and only come with six churros.

There were four of us and the bill came to about $160 however we ordered alcohol as well.

Overall, I love this place and am definitely going back again!

Muse Cafe is a cafe by day, tapas restaurant by night, tucked away on a semi-busy street in Summer Hill near the station. It's cosy and a tad cluttered inside, but ideal nonetheless or gatherings of any kind.

There are three sections to the restaurant: the main floor, upstairs and the outdoor area. The third option is gorgeous in good weather, although more suited for 2-4 people max. On a busy night, the main floor is a bit noisier, as tables are set close-together, but it's more cosy than unbearable. Upstairs is reserved for larger functions of 10+ people.

Whilst the food can be a hit or miss, for the most part you will not be disappointed. The servings may seem a bit small, but I'd say the prices are quite average for a tapas restaurant. Some of them, such as the patatas bravas and chorizo, are absolute hits which taste amazing. The menu is quite varied though, and there's sure to be something for everyone, although - as the golden rule with tapas goes - it's better to share a number of things amongst multiple people.

The waitstaff are very friendly, although serving times can vary. At times I have been pleasantly surprised, at other times (albeit particularly when there are more people, which is to be expected) I've gotten frustrated by the wait. Nonetheless, this is a nice little restaurant to experiment with if you're in the mood for some decent Spanish food.

Approximate cost: $12

The food is good here but service can sometimes be a bit slow. They need to update their menu too but I would still recommend. Coffee is very good here and the atmosphere in the courtyard is serene.

Approximate cost: $5-$25

I LOVE THIS CAFE! It is soo delicious and great to stop by for a tea with a friend. It is a bit small though but lovely. Not at all cramped or dirty!

A great menu and delicious sweets. Perhaps a little stuffy and small inside but a nice atmosphere and aroma. Ideal for a solo cup of hot chocolate and reading a book.

Nice cosy little cafe. They make great food and have a very nice little courtyard out the back. They have a small room near the courtyard which can be hired for functions.

Approximate cost: $15
