"We have scheduled your MyNetFone service to terminate on 03/10/16, your next billing date."

That was the agreement between a customer who notified days in advance via email for a specified cut-off date and followed-up on the waiting phone line for 30 minutes before being transferred to a number of departments and finally speaking to the service department to have my internet cancelled on said-date due to relocating internationally.

Guess what, just minutes after hanging up the phone, my service was cut (with immediate effect). I had less than none faith in technical support (2 accounts of no service for days in past months), still I quickly rang to ask for my service to be checked upon since I am legit paying till 03/10/16.

Technical support said "I can confirm your service is terminated and you are no longer in contract as such there is 'no service' to your apartment". I reminded them that I am still a paying customer till the cut-off date which we agreed upon.

On hold for least 20 minutes and technical support said "There was an error on their computer and you are still 'in service' however we have reasons to believe that you are experiencing network outrage due to faulty cables blah blah you can opt to pay $220 for a technician to come in but you will need to wait for it".

Seriously? I had a perfectly stable internet connection prior and it is a fine sunny day out, and so I just suddenly have faulty cables in my area affecting my internet connection?

Approximate cost: $50

Their initial phone service is quite good, speedy and polite, and based in Sydney. But don't be fooled by this. Post-sales service is dreadful and offensive. Once they have your money they turn nasty on any issue that arises with which they disagree.

I signed up for an adsl internet plan over the phone which was described as having a set amount of data. All of their plans on their website very openly disclose any usage allocation (peak/off peak) where it applies, except for the plan I chose, where it was hidden. There was no mention on their web site, by their salesperson, or in their terms and conditions quoted over the phone. Upon finding this out through a friend, I asked to cancel my service as I believe I was misled by this inconsistency and failure of disclosure, which is a breach of the Australian Consumer Law. I was abruptly told that I should have read the critical information summary I was sent via email within 24 hours of agreeing to the contract. The problem was, I never received this email. And no it was not in junk. It just wasn't sent. The icing on the cake was not only did they insist they will keep the $99 setup fee and the first month $50 of internet paid up front, they would also charge a further $99 for cancellation. This is before the service has even been connected.

As far as I and the Consumer Law are concerned, that contract is void due to lack of disclosure of the terms and conditions of the service. MyNetFone would not budge and rudely dismissed my concern, the manager almost mocking me over the phone. I've since contacted the telecommunications industry ombudsman who will resolve the issue.

Mynetfone has always made us made us for those "fraud calls made Hardware".

They have made me pay three time over years for these fraud calls.

I have had my Administrator take a call log from my home PBX software and I have a call log from Mynetfone and guess what!
All these cals were found not to made on my home PBX system. It shows calls were made threw MNF server.

They have never taken responsibility for lack of security on their server so a result they make us pay for these calls

IT IS TIME for all Mynetfone Customers to take their cases to TIO!

Approximate cost: $0

The cheapest for landline & international calls cause it's thru Internet. The most i paid was $22 a month for hours of calls. The quality has been great in the last 2 years. I called them today as we are moving house. After a long long long waiting, I was finally thru, but the staff was very helpful. The best part is that we don't have to Change phone number just plug it into Internet wifi router at new place and it will start working again!

Approximate cost: $My maximum payment was $22 for hours of local and international calls - great value

I have an account with this company and have recently had problems. The customer service and support I received from their staff was appalling! They failed to look into my file, and after 7 weeks I found out that the problem could have been solved after the first phone call if their staff had taken the time to do their job and look at my file.

Telecommunication has become very expensive, particularly if you live rural. I'd been looking at MyNetFone for a few years, recommended to me by a friend who swears by them. I was rather nervous about VoIP, but finally took the plunge and haven't looked back. Call quality is the same as a landline, although I have found that if the internet is busy then the quality does drop - both ends! The first time I rang my parents they had no idea I was calling via the internet. Call costs are very cheap - VERY CHEAP! The catch though is that it does take from your download limit. With MyNetFone you can elect to go on a plan or just pay for what you use. International calls are also cheap, calls to mobile phones are about 20-25c per min. Payment is upfront, something I wasn't aware of until my friend kindly informed me of the ways of this company. They regularly have specials and bundles so if you're new to this you can get a good VoIP phone at a good price. They also do naked broadband, however they are still expanding their areas. It is easy to check to see if your location is covered.
Service is good, but it can take a long time to get through via the phone. The first (and only) time I rang I was kept waiting for a long long time and when I finally got through I could not understand the woman at the other end. After both of us getting frustrated I hung up. Yesterday (Sunday) I emailed because I'd made an error with my account and within 24hrs (they don't operate on a Sunday) the problem was corrected. Thank you MyNetFone!!
We have kept our landline, but have dropped it down to the basic plan, just as a safety measure if there's a blackout or the internet is down.
I'm not computer savvy, but if I can set this up and operate it, then anyone can!!

just love the savings on my phone bills! I was using Telstra and had bills greater than $300. Now bills have dropped to $8-10. I have no idea why everyone doesn't use VOIP. It's so easy, and I am not computer literate.
