Not impressed with Service and attitude of Staff. Had a toasted Ham and Cheese sandwich. Was disgusting, no filling and looked like it had been thrown on the plate. Pity as the outlook is perfect. Need to improve.

Amazing setting on the main lake at Waterways and a fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon if the weather is accommodating. Our favorite is the iced coffee or iced chocolate in the tall glass. Goes perfectly with a chocolate muffin. You have to try it! The cafe faces towards the south so sitting out on the deck on a cold day is not too pleasant. It is very pleasant on a nice sunny day as it is well shaded. Always get very good and quick service and is a scenic setting.

I never knew this place existed until we passed it going for a run at Braeside park. Breakfast had finished, we were 1 minute late so that was dissapointing as we love the late breakfasts! Ordered a chai tea and latte as I didnt want to fill up on wedges or hot chips. Could do with a menu overhaul (with lunch) I read on here with interest that the owner is Armenian? If so I think it would be great for them to include some inspired cuisine. Something simple like stuffed vine leaves or tomatoes with breakfast...lentil soups would be healthy for lunch, baklava not so healthy but yumm...anyway clever marketing...we are looking to open a cafe and would like something similar to this. I like my chai prepared this one wasn't and the coffee was so so. I do like the fact that you look over the lake. Would prefer table service. Will give it another go before 2.

This cafe is a nice getaway in the middle of the newish Waterways residential area. It's located on one of the lakes in the middle of the estate and has an outdoor deck overlooking the lake on nice days. Plenty of wildlife to watch! I've had one of their sandwiches (smoked salmon on focaccia) which was really perfect for a light lunch and reasonably priced. The coffee is great as is expected at any cafe in the Melbourne area. With Bowen Road soon to be open, it's an easy walk for us from Aspendale Gardens. One of the times we were there, it was difficult to talk to the assistant at the counter because the owner/manager? was speaking SO loudly to the cook that he was drowning out the girl. That was the only bad experience I've had here.

Approximate cost: $10
