Excellent staff and amazing store !

I had made an appointment on a Saturday to try on wedding dresses. They were running over 45 minutes late however told me at the time they were running 'slightly behind'. I was told to go upstairs to try on bridesmaid dresses with my bridesmaids. The staff upstairs were unhelpful and difficult to find to ask for assistance. When we were finally called back downtairs for my appointment, it was a further 10 min wait until they were ready to help me. The woman helping me was rude, didn't smile once and did not listen to the style of dress I wanted to try - instead grabbing ones off the racks she thought I should like. When I finally was able to try on one I liked she couldn't tell me what size I should order and was very annoyed (sighed loudly) when I asked if I could try some veils with the dress. The whole time I was there I felt like I was being rushed - the assistant was actually telling me it was time to try the next dress and ushering me back into the change room before I was ready. She never offered her opinion on how the dress looked on me. I left feeling upset and frustrated. Not a good experience at all!

The staff here were beyond helpful in looking for my dream dress for my formal a few years ago.. although i didn't find the dress there they were more than happy to help me in finding my dream dress by recommending other dress shops in the area.. ended up at there boolaroo store and found my dress!

There is no denying Newcastle Bridal House has a wide range of lovely gowns for sale. However, the service from staff at the store is horrible. My bridal party and myself (bride to be) were not made to feel welcome. We were forced to wait 45 minutes despite having made a booking in advance. The woman helping us was actually not very helpful - did not take my measurements despite being asked to and selected gowns that were not in the style I had described for me to try on (one was strapless and I had said I didn't like strapless dresses) of the 4 gowns I tried on only one was in keeping with the style I had requested.
The store is also very crowded, there is not much space between the change rooms and the mirror and does not offer a very private setting (you share the mirror with two other brides to be). There is also not much room for people you're shopping with to sit down or to even see what you look like in the dresses (my bridal party ended up standing in an awkward line behind me due to lack of space.
Overall I did not enjoy my experience shopping here and couldn't recommend it to anybody else.I actually left quite frustrated and disappointed - not emotions you want to experience when wedding dress shopping!
