Newport Timber Company used to be in Newport - wow, no brainer and they didn't change their name when they moved, I guess to keep their customer base. And I know why they moved - from the ramshackle old yard with inadequate protection to a lovely new factory complex with wide front driveway situated in the industrial complex in Williamstown along Maddox Road. Easily accessible and parking out the front too.

They can supply all your wood/timber needs for the trade and for retail with a wide variety of types of timbers, boards, flooring and mouldings etc. We got some great skirting board from here.

Very nice people and helpful when you need to ask questions which is necessary when you are fixing an old house. I think they have better quality merchandise than their opposition up the road, but check it out for yourself.
