6 reviews about Normanville Hotel

My wife and I stopped in for lunch yesterday after having a good look around Normanville as we were staying nearby. Service was very friendly, there was a young man looking after us and asked at least 4 times how our meals were. Our table was cleared quickly after our entrees which were very tasty, particularly the garlic/herb focaccia. My fish and chips were expensive at $28 for 2 pieces of fish, chips and the tiniest salad I have ever been served - why bother. It was served in a small teacup. My wife tried the chicken schnitzel with pepper sauce, chips and salad, she also commented on the miniscule salad. I will give them 3 stars because of the service, but would eat elsewhere next time.

Approximate cost: $58

This hotel has a new old-worlde charm with excellent dining facilities. The day we had lunch here there were only a few customers so we had expected to receive better service. My husband enjoyed his salt and pepper squid and my chicken schnitzel was enjoyable. I would rate them as average pub food which was a bit disappointing. The bar has a good range of tap beers.

Approximate cost: $60

This is a nice little pub serving some good food, cannot say our meals were anything special, just the usual. Found the prices to be a bit high, liked the dining area and the staff were friendly but very slow (it was not busy).

A pleasant atmoshere but will be eating elsewhere next time.

Gorgeous old pub in the middle of Normanville. Service is excellent - very accommodating if a little slow. Great with kids (we had 6 rowdy ones!). Food is decent pub fare, but I wouldn't go outside the normal menu items. One of our team had a salad which was decidedly average. But overall it was a great experience.

We went here with a group of people on a Saturday night. It was very busy, and we did not have a booking, but we were seated fairly quickly.
This hotel has a beautiful frontage to the main road, white roses along the front and side, and an old-style look. A lot of work has obviously been done on the building, surrounds and inside, but the old-style country pub feel has been retained.
The dining room is nice and large, with comfortable tables and seating and a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The meals were served in good time, even though they were very busy, and were very nice and good-sized serves.
All of our party were happy with their meals, and the prices were reasonable.
We really enjoyed our night-out here.

Great atmosphere and feels like quality and luxury inside. It is not expensive or out of reach for families or for casual dining, but it doesn't feel like a cheap, country hotel. Great range of food and good prices.
