After reading the previous review we contacted Matt to clean all of our windows and sliding doors.
He responded to calls and messages. Our booking was made well in advance (be aware he is very busy but well worth any wait). He confirmed the booking a few days before. (Very rare these days.) He was prompt, friendly and efficient and such a lovely chap.
And the window cleaning! Each was removed for the most thorough clean. The windows and sliding doors are gleaming, and the best they have looked since the house was new.
Wow Matt you are the BEST.
This is one who will be put into our records for any cleaning needs in the future.
Thoroughly recommended.

The owners Blake and Tamika are lovely helpful people. Reptiles are Blake's hobby and passion and he has a wealth of knowledge. He breeds all of his snakes. Quite often he has feeding sessions, where you can view the procedure.
I recently went in with the idea of purchasing a black and yellow carpet python and vivarium and taking it home that day. However, Blake talked me out of it and told me that this was not the ideal snake for a first time owner. He explained the temperaments of various pythons, suggesting that a Murray Darling would be my best choice.
I did not make a purchase, but if and when I do, I feel confident that I will receive the very best of help with my choice. I am also sure that he would be wonderful with any follow-up help after.
If you are considering purchasing any kind of reptile I would recommend that you visit Reptile City first.

We were recently at a Spyder Motorbike Muster at Hahndorf where Andrew was on site. A variety of other riders had recommended a sheepskin wool cover for our seats. Andrew is a professional and tailor made our cover which we are completely satisfied with. It certainly makes the ride more comfortable.
He makes a variety of sheepskin products from bike, car and truck seat covers to wheelchair seat covers to slippers and flat teddy-bears.
His website is excellent.
Mail ordering available.
Comes fully recommended by my husband and I and lots of other riders at the muster.

As this restaurant is available to cater for private functions the organisers of the recent Spyder Muster booked our dinner at this restaurant (we were all staying at the Resort for the weekend). We were treated to the most exceptional buffet. Some of the foods included soup, salads and roast vegetables, curries and rice, chicken tenderloins, an amazing Beef Wellington, roast pork with crackling, plus many more. Unlike some buffets the hot foods were hot. Desserts included pavlova and apple crumble tart, and cream and icecream were available for topping.
The setting overlooked the Adelaide hills and the service was excellent.
Their normal menu resembles one from a good hotel, with prices to match.
Fully recommend this restaurant.

I was in Heaven - so much delightful yummy sugar. Apart from their famous over 40 varieties of fudge there is a great selection of other goodies, including large freckles, chocolates and licorice. Need to buy a gift - choose from a great selection of pre-packaged gift packs. There is a special - instead of paying $4.90 for one piece of fudge you can purchase 5 pieces for $20. Now there was a problem - what to choose. All looked amazing, and imagining the taste made my mouth water.
All looked delicious. Finally selected salted caramel (of course), tia maria, Turkish delight, ginger and caramel macadamia. Want some icecream - they make their own gorgeous creamy, smooth delights. Absolutely recommend this shop.

We decided to take advantage of the Entertainment book for 'buy one get one free' main meals. The pub atmosphere is country pub style with a large central bar, a casual bar area with open fire and pool table and dining areas (including the front verandah). As we had no reservation and they were very busy we were seated in a side room which faced the main street. In winter there would have been an open fire going. We found it to be a very pleasant room and, as there were only the two of us, it was very peaceful and we were not over-hearing others' conversation. The beer prices were average. My husband chose 300g rump steak with mushroom gravy, roast potatoes and side salad. It was cooked to perfection and was 'melt in the mouth' tender. I chose Old Bush Inn Famous Sticky Pork Ribs with chips and side salad. The ribs were amazingly delicious as were the chips and the side salad did have a dressing. Both of our servings were quite large. I only just managed to finish my ribs, but I was not going to leave even a tiny portion.
The pub is really nice with a pleasant atmosphere, good service and excellent food at good prices.
The rump with sauce was $30 and the ribs were $26. We will return.

Quite a lovely setting on the rooftop which is 3 floors up, and it is accessible by elevator. Unfortunately the toilets are on the second floor, either by steep stairs or again by elevator.
The setting is very relaxed and welcoming. The day we went was quite busy but the staff coped well. The menu consists mainly of tapas and sliders, with a few main courses and salads. There is a special of platters with 2 sliders of your choice with a basket of chips, which cost $20. Three of us ordered 2 of these which we shared. With each platter we were able to purchase a tap beer and cider for $2 each. We chose two crumbed chicken, lettuce and mayo, one pepper beef with bacon, lettuce and bbq sauce plus one barramundi with lemon tartare, red onion and endive.
They were all lovely (though rather small), but the beef was the best. Chips were average. On tap there is an alcoholic gingery fruit drink which must be tried - it is delicious, refreshing and 8% alcohol. They have a good range of wines, beers and carafes. Be warned the cocktails are $20 each.
The three of us are over 60 but were sharing in a lunch with a group of 30 year olds. I believe this place is excellent for the younger ones, and though the food is excellent a charge of $10 for a tiny burger is too much.
However we did have a nice lunch.

My husband and I enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. We had read some bad reviews so we were a little wary. However, we found nothing amiss. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed and the decorating is interesting, but not over done. Service was above average, even though there were loads of diners. We started with chilli bread ($5.50) and received three large slices which were delicious. Both of us chose the rump steak which were perfectly cooked ($23.00) and we shared a side salad ($6.50). We absolutely enjoyed our choice of bourbon butter to go with the steak ($3.00) - it was finger lickin' good. My husband enjoyed the chef's hand cut potato, but I would have preferred chips.
There is an excellent selection of beers, ciders and wines, including ginger beer which was my choice.
Others have complained about the service but we found it to be excellent. About 10 minutes after we had finished the bread a waitress asked if we were waiting for our main course: she took note of our table number, checked with the chef and returned to say that it would be served in a few minutes - and it was. I noted that about 10 minutes after diners were served a waitress approached to make sure everything was being enjoyed.
Overall a good night. Prices are a little above pub fare. Unfortunate we chose a public holiday night with a 10% surcharge.

This review is for Otto's Bakery And Cafe, Hahndorf SA

Having lived in the Adelaide Hills quite a few years ago I looked forward to a return to one of my favourite bakeries, especially to have a Bienenstich (Bee Sting). I was very disappointed to find that there were none, after all we were at Otto's in Hahndorf. We later discovered that Otto's had been sold some 12 years previously and the owners none ran the Hahndorf Kaffeehaus.
However we did enjoy our lunch sitting outside on the verandah. My husband and I both had a chunky pepper pie which was indeed delicious with large chunks of tender meat (no gristle) and just the right amount of pepper. We shared a streusel bun which was average.
There is a huge selection of pies, pasties and slices. Rolls and sandwiches are also available and are freshly made. The variety of cakes is very good though more Australian inspired and minus the Bee Sting.

Look for the large icecream cone. This is an Italian family business that we very proud of their upmarket ice creams, gelati and sorbets. Their icecream and sorbets are free of gluten, gelatine and egg. They also have dairy free vegan sorbets. No artificial ingredients or preservatives are used.
There are over 30 flavours. I chose licorice which was light in colour and very different from others that I have previously tried. Absolutely unique and delicious. My husband had salted caramel which was wonderful. Both were full of flavour and very creamy. The single cones were $5 each and were huge. Thoroughly recommended.
