Dr Gambir went over and above to help me after I have been diagnosed with Covid. Because of my medical complications she spent 2 hours talking to Specialists in order to decide whether I should have Antivirals. She is amazing!!
She has done this last year too when I had complications from another virus. She is incredible.

Such a frustrating place to visit. There’s always long waits, the last two times I had to leave after waiting 2 hours plus without seeing a doctor because I had to be somewhere.

We have been 4 times, mainly due to our local GP not being open on weekends. 3 times due to wife having a fall. Once for wife having very high bp. The 3 emergency visits were extremely well handled, with experienced GP and nursing staff. The medical visit was unsatisfactory in that we sat on one side of the waiting area while the doctor went to the other side to call for the patient. so after an hour of waiting were told we had missed our appointment and would have to rebook. We left. All costs were covered by bulk billing medicare, including xrays. Apart from one negative event, very happy with expertise and convenience.

Positives: they're open when many other surgeries aren't eg Sundays. They bulk-bill.

Negatives: felt like I was "just a number" being churned through the system. Some of the Dr's don't take appointments making it very difficult to form a patient-client relationship. It really is luck of the draw whether you get a reasonable Dr or not (1 in 3 "hit rate" for me). Inconsistent information given by reception staff.

Dr Peter Imgraben was absolutely wonderful! He was very thorough in his examination & explanations, extremely understanding & listened to all my concerns.

There are so few places that still bulk bill, this is one of them. You are seen in order of arrival and usually wait 2-3 hours. I usually check in, go home for 90 mins or so then come back later. You can opt for your own doctor or a random one. I always go random as I only go there to get scripts filled and want to avoid the $35 fee at my usual GP.

In all fairness I should state upfront that if you have a medicare card, your visits will be bulk-billed and you will be fine.

My partner isn't yet an Australian citizen however is with Bupa who pay her the same benefits as medicare. So we didn't expect to pay anything. The standard "bulk-billing" cost that the government pays on your behalf is around $30 and this is how much they get paid normally. However if you don't show them a medicare card upfront they will charge you $75 each visit!! So for no good reason they put their price way up - then Bupa will only reimburse the standard $30. We were not told of this unfair additional charge to people who can't show medicare cards.

My partner saw one doctor three times. I found her to be very friendly and to have a genuine concern for her clients. However she never found what was wrong with my partner. On our first two visits we waited roughly 3 hours each! The second time I counted that she only saw 6 people before us. She is excruciatingly slow and seems to have some lengthy breaks between clients where she is in her office with the door shut.

While trying to find the problem (which she never did) we had to do an ultrasound and a whole bunch of other little tests (e.g. urine analysis). The ultrasound we did through Bensons who were really great (cheap and quick). The other tests our doctor did herself in the visits and we assumed that was included in the costs of the doctor visit (which is already too high).

Weeks later we get a bill in the mail for about $50 for the tests she did. And then a few days later we get another one around the same price, I assumed it was a reminder. After inspecting it again we realised it is another bill for different tests! We are furious as we were not told that there would be additional costs and we are not at all satisfied with the service we got.

Another thing was we went one time an hour before they closed and all we wanted to know was the result of the test (and we were very anxious because we thought it was something very serious her mum had). The receptionist refused to let us see her because she was booked out (I'm sure because she is just too slow).

In fact all we needed was a quick free over the phone call to say the result of the test. But no, that's not the way she works. We have to wait three hours at a time convenient for her and pay her $75 to find out the result of test we have already (over)paid her, and she received much sooner.

Of course, they need to overcharge. So that they can pay for all the artwork in their very nice building.

I have been attending this Dr service for several years and have pretty much seen every DR the have and would recommend them all. As there is no appointments the Dr are more focused on the pt they are with not the time it is taking which is great.

This surgery is great. There is no cost involved and the doctors are very friendly. I went during the week and I had less then 30 mins waiting time. I would recommend to others.

I love this place! I have a regular Dr that I see there. It's great that they're open really early, open late and open on weekends. And the best bit - Bulk billing!! It's in a good location for those that catch public transport too. You don't have to get sent here and there for getting tests done or x-rays taken... it's all in the one place. I have nothing bad to say about them : )
