ATMOSPHERE/LOCATION:
The Orford Roadhouse is a great little Cafe as you drive through Orford and has a nice warm, clean seating area inside and a deck out the back which looks over the water.

SERVICE AND STAFF:
We stopped in here a few times when we stayed in Orford but the service never changed which is their only downfall. There seems to be only one person that works there and he is very abrupt and not very friendly when taking your orders. The few times we stopped in and was at the counter looking, we were asked if we were right to order and we said we were still looking, he was very abrupt and rude and said angrily, "well tell me when you ready then", and storms off out the back kitchen. I'd understand the first time if something was wrong but every time he seemed to be the same.

Food and Pricing:
There was a pretty good variety of food with fresh sandwiches and rolls in the fridge and hot items in the hot box.
The pricing was pretty normal these days with cafes.

Extras:
It seemed that he sold a lot of local food items as well which helps the community.

Last Words:
Other than the service, it was a good little cafe in Orford with hot coffee and great take away food.
We did get a little bit tired of the abrupt service which made us go to another cafe in Triabunna for the rest of our stay. If your after some quick takeaway food and a coffee, then this cafe will be fine.

Won't be returning, food is very very overpriced, waited 25 minutes for a cappuccino, which was all milk & water no coffee in it at all. In that 25 minutes the waitress came & asked us what coffee we had ordered.....overall disappointing after waiting so long for my meal the fish I ordered was over cooked. I also think charging $16 for 2 small pieces of fish and a handful of chips is just criminal. If you want salad it's an extra $6.50! Do yourself a favour & give this one a miss.

great manager Richard!! great food!!! great service!!! see you when our paths cross one day. Having worked with these people knowing the quality of the food and service I recommend every one stop and try there seafood packs YUM! Grab and coffee, fuel and a smile! They will not disappoint .

After a poor experience at Triabunna stopping here was brilliant. A wonderfully friendly lady served me while hubby filled the car - food was hot, fresh and tasty
