I went to Paddy Palin recently to find a bag. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They really take time to find out your needs, and then show you what items they have that might be suitable. They take time to show you the features and give extra details, but at the same time, if you just want to browse, they give you the space to browse without following you around. Items were slightly pricey but only slightly different from competitors. They have a good range of backpacks and bags, clothes and gadgets for camping and hiking. Enjoyable experience every time. My partner started taking me here for rock climbing gear and I see why! It is my preferred place in Adelaide for truly informed service. The gentlemen that run the shop consist of some experienced climbers that give pertinent advice whilst being very approachable. The small climbing wall up top is handy and also popular with the kids. With frequent sales and a good range of camping hiking and climbing hear, I wouldn't shop anywhere else.
