Definitely not the best Mexican I've had. The food is better at night for some reason. I went there for lunch one time and the food was pretty average.

Great margaritas though.

We came in on a friday night around 7pm. They were pretty busy with about 80 people in the resteraunt . Within 5 minutes of being seated we had our meal orders taken and drinks brought to us, the meals came out 15 minutes after ordering. The service throughout the whole night was above standard and the young male manager was more then helpful. All in all it was a great night out and i highly recomend it!

I love love love Panchos. It's my local Mexican, and their food is fantastic. I highly recommend the lemon margarita - awesome. The staff are friendly, the dining loyalty card is a bonus, and I'm always happy to go back there. The food has never disappointed me, and the serves are generous. Definitely on my list of superb local eateries!

The food is pretty good, but prices are expensive. Especially when you are over charged $75 on the bill like we were! We picked up on the error and had to return. They refunded the money but offered nothing for free like coffees or anything. The biggest rip off is a babychino for $3.50!!! WHAT?!?!? It's a sip of milk and a bit of froth!!! You have to pay an extra $2.50 per person to get a tiny serve of sour cream or cheese added to your meal. We got our meals rushed through as we had a toddler with us and it was late, but a lot of people looked bored waiting for their meals. We ended up serving ourselves to menus as they seated us and never returned. The couple beside us said that they had to get the menus themselves as well. Room for improvement or more staff! The first waiter we asked if we had to order our meals at the counter or at the table and she didnt know!!!

This place could use a face-lift, its a little tired looking. The food was ok but definitely not the nicest Mexican I've eaten. The service wasn't the best, although they were quite busy.

Terrible service!! Ordered the Sizzling Fajitas with Prawns and Scallops, the meal came out with no scallops. My partner ordered a trio of tacos which was supposed to include 1 beef, 1 bean and 1 chicken, she didn't get a chicken taco. We were in a rush and since the service was terribly slow we just ate our food (which was edible) and mentioned the mistakes to the manager and she did not even offer an apology and in fact stated that they had run out of scallops the night before and that the waiter obviously hadn't been told. She did not offer any discount and we are still waiting for an apology

Great food, great service, used to be mexican cantina and new owner really looks after her customers, we would recommend this place to anyone who loves mexaican food, we always over order because its just so good

Good family restaurant with friendly staff who offer good advice regarding the menu and choices. Not a long wait for meals with attentive staff during our visit. Food was very tasty with Texas Nachos being a big hit, on this and the next visit with 3 teenage boys. Just tried 3 Mexican restaurants in Coolangatta which were very disappointing, not even close to Panchos. We have been spoilt during our 2 visits.

The nachos are FANTASTIC!! A serving for 2 people is enough for at 4 people. This is a place that you want to go to hungry! The margaritas are great (when are they not?) but I would advise asking for an extra shot of tequila. There other food is also fantastic, but often we can't get past the nachos and the margaritas. Like most Mexican places it can be a little pricey, but MUCH better quality than somewhere like Taco Bill!

BRILLIANT Mexican restaurant. The nachos at this place are HUGE! Big eaters will struggle to get through nachos and then a main meal. However, staff are more than happy to give you containers to take food home in. This place is MUCH better than the Taco Bill chain: food is nicer, staff friendlier and they put more tequila in their margaritas!!
