I was told by my friend that papparich is a popular malaysian restaurant and that it has opened in Chatswood. I heard a lot of good news about it so I went to try the food with my wife. The quality and the service was great but i think it was because it had just opened so they wanted to leave a great impression. but it was a little pricey for some menus. however, i would go have dinner in papparich sometimes

Approximate cost: $15

I was told that Papparich is a famous restaurant in Malaysia. and now they opened their Sydney branch. So I decided to have a try, Located in Chatswood in north of Sydney not far from station. We ordered Hainan chicken rice, curry chicken and others. The service was quick and the food were really taste. We have decided to come back sometime next month.

This franchise finally opened a branch in Chatswood with word of mouth of it's existence spreading quickly. Do expect at least a 30min queue (if not more) during peak lunch or dinner hours.

Roti Canai with curry chicken tastes pretty close to M'sia's hawker equivalent, the Fried Kway Teow and Roast chicken rice are quite flavoursome, fried chicken wings, Hainese Toasted bread with butter and Kaya as well as soft boiled eggs were all pretty good.

Just a bit of a queue when we went for lunch, wasn't all that clear/directed. They probably didn't have enough workers to dedicate one person around the entrance. Overall food was as expected, nothing quite stood out though. Roti bom was kinda disappointing, canai was good, I've had better wat tan hor, bryani/nasi lemak had nice chicken.

Like I said, they seemed a bit busy. Maybe service will get more personalised as they get quieter. No water offered, is okay, self service. They omitted an item that we wrote down, but it was a drink so we just went without that one.

Approximate cost: $15

If you're into Malaysian food, this is a restaurant you must try.Be prepared to queue for a table as it is packed, even on a weekday. Decor is homely and menus are available while waiting so that your order can be written on a chit as soon as you're seated. We tried the roti with curry chicken which was good and the Assam Laksa was spicy & flavoursome although the serving is quite small. Will come back for more dishes to try as there are many dishes to try on the menu.

Approximate cost: $12-14

I thought the assam laksa tasted interesting but the noodles were a bit disappointing for me. :(
