Been coming to this clinic for almost 8 years. Seeing the same doctor. I am happy with my doctor but the service of the administration staff is poor as it can be. I tried to get through to book an appointment for 10 minutes this morning over 100 phone calls. Ended up driving down and making an appointment. That said appointment was supposed to be for 3:30pm, it is now 5pm and I have not seen or spoken to my doctor. When I first started coming here they were great and I never had to wait, now I find I can’t get in contact with them and I wait over an hour for an appointment, and also have trouble getting scripts off them, also have been hung up on a few times. It’s just appalling and I will be transferring to a different clinic after 8 years of service.
I only see one doctor and am happy to wait. However, what I find frustrating is the quality of reception staff. They are rather rude, don't care or simply don't understand what I say. Example, I was there on Sunday (06/08) and was asked to do a survey on my visit BEFORE I got to see the doctor. I mean, how can you critique a visit before it has happened? The overall look and feel of the place is very unprofessional. The waiting room furniture looks like they were bought from an opp shop and deserve to be thrown away. They have a Men's toilet that has been out of order for the past 6 months. If it wasn't for me following my doctor around, I would NEVER go to Park Avenue Medical Clinic.
Very bad reception staff. Phone either doesn't get answered or you get hung up on. Staff are difficult to communicate with because of language barrier. Waiting rooms unpleasant.
The waiting room furniture in the front looks like they were bought from an opp shop or salvaged from the local tip. They are terrible for a business that is all about professionalism.
I've been going to this practice for five years due to the convenience factor (within walking distance and they bulk bill). However, while there are one or two good knowledgeable doctors I've had some really disappointing and frustrating experiences with doctors who don't even know the common side effects of drugs they are prescribing and evade sensitive or personal issues. I have never waited less than 30 minutes with an appointment, but I guess that's typical. What I find inexcusable however is the unprofessionalism of reception. I have had a receptionist congratulate me on a non-existent pregnancy (after a miscarriage), I've had a doctor pack up and leave while I was waiting to see them because reception had not informed them that I was there. While they say you will get priority over walk-ins if you have an appointment, that has not been my experience. I find reception disorganised and unprofessional, and although there are one or two good doctors, many of the doctors seem unable to cope with women's issues and mental health issues.

a great bulkbilling practice, although you do have to wait when you do have an appointment. I do appreciate when my children do need to urgently see a doctor without an appointment that they are happy to help. Love the chemist next door.
A handy doctor, pathology, dentist and chemist all in the one stop. Appointments or just walk in. I have been attending this practice for a number of years, and although sometimes you bay have to wait to see a doctor, there is usually a very good reason why.
