Whilst the actual training in the super puppy class was beneficial in giving me and my puppy guidance I found some of the staff to be condescending and in one particular instance downright rude. I have raised large dogs before and enrolled my puppy for socialization mostly, however I found the pups don't get much time to socialise together. If I hadn't spent close to $400 on the 8 week course, I would have gone elsewhere after my first week.

Please accept our apologies if our staff offended you in any way. The first lesson of Super Puppy is always tricky as we try to care for all clients & their sometimes anxious pups. We are sorry the classes were not what you expected. We provide professionally run classes designed to teach owners how to train their pups & how to socialize them safely and appropriately. Whilst we do have some off lead play, this is managed to suit to dogs in class and with the safety & development of all pups a priority. Our classes are not playgroups and we make this very clear in our marketing & when clients book in. That’s what sets us apart from amateur run classes which may cost less than the $340 we charge for our 8 week course run by fully qualified behavioural animal trainers. It’s a shame you did not raise any concerns after the first class as we would have done our very best to support you. Thanks for your feedback which is appreciated.
We booked Willow our Border Collie pup into Paw Behaviour as she was a real handful. The course was as much about training us and it was her. She was subjected to loud noises, other rough dogs and many exercises that, while we didn't think helped her much at the time, have worked out to be brilliant. We now have an extremely obedient and well behaved (well most times) dog.
Jenny is very passionate about her work and I thoroughly recommend the Super Puppy course!

Yes, we are passionate about our work with dogs and do our very best to keep up to date with modern animal training methods and current trends in motivational and positive reinforcement training. There are many choices for training in the Peninsula area, but Paw Behaviour is the very best. Jen has high grade play/training equipment, and together with a gentle & reward based approach, even the most challenging of breeds, (i.e. my dog!) are set up for success. I have put both of my dogs through the super puppy classes, and both of them are a pleasure to be with, both at home, and out on our walks. Highly recommended.

I have a dog who has serious "seperation anxiety" issues.
Jennifer from Paw Behaviour was able to give us solid advise and a management plan on how to alleviate these issues.
This was followed up and adjustments made to solve our issues.
Dogs with behavioural problems or anxiety issues requires careful assessment. At times we refer dogs to veterinary specialists for further care and work as a team to give our clients the best service for their much loved family pet. Thanks for entrusting your pet to us.
I have done these classes with two separate dogs with excellent results. The classes are small so you receive plenty of help, and the training methods are all gentle and positive so it's enjoyable for the owners and their dogs.
