Payless - Careless

Called, quoted (5x tyres), were $150- less in total and came recommended. Booked in, tyres done, assumed saving included tyre disposal, but was charged for disposal and alignment (included in Bob Jane T-Mart quote) … final saving was only $35- all up!!

BUT problems only made it worse!! Post tyre install, got home realised part removed to access spare had been removed but not returned. Called, told can’t find it and that I should take another look. Went back, surprised they could find anything as workshop is an untidy mess. Eventually found crunched up on their forecourt driveway. Naturally upset raised my voice. Service tech said “what do want us to do about it?” Naturally being upset said “You're seriously asking me that, it’s simple replace it”.

On the way home, the owner called and proceeded to berate me for being upset and raising my voice, proclaiming it’s just a piece of plastic mate, calm down, no need to loose your shit over it, turn it down a notch”, at all times failing to apologise or acknowledge their fault, instead choosing to focus on me being upset!!

On collecting the part, he told me “there you go mate, now you’re no longer a victim”?!

You decide, but before you do, I’d recommend you take a walk through their workshops, and if you’re still happy, go for it, eyes wide open!! Or head to Bob Jane T-Mart in Brookvale where Karl’s workshop is organised and spotless along with their level of attention to detail and service.

Good range of reasonably priced tyres. Friendly staff who are more than happy to recommend a cheaper brand of a tyre rather than only recommend the expensive brands.

Having been servicing my cars at dealers before it was a refreshing change to find a service centre that was interested in saving me money rather than charging for things I did not need. On top of this they charged 20% less than any other dealer for my new tyres.
