Peppers is such a lovely place to stay, we stayed there for 2 nights and the rooms are large and very well maintained, the staff are friendly and the service is great. Located in the perfect place, right across from the Urangan pier so its great, amazing views from the balcony also, i loved it

Our first experience there was in a Deluxe Superior room, with our stay there the keycards that gain you access to the carpark and rooms were faulty, Room service was terrible. Although the staff were really nice.

On Checkout we complained about these things and were told the manager would give us a call. Which she did and offered to upgrade us to a Penthouse next time we come down and replace the meal and free Peppers Bath Robes, Now that's what i call service!

Will be going back time and time again

We have eaten at the restaurant on several occasions. The last two were group outings so we went along with an open mind, but there will be no future bookings for us. The quality of the meals is quite ordinary. The fish was dry, the steaks were dry, the salad was dry and predominantly lettuce, and the vegetables were undercooked. From a group of thirteen adults – only two were able to say that their meal was ok. It's impossible to have a conversation because of the deafening level of noise from the entertainment. It would be enjoyable to have a bit of background music but seriously we were flat out hearing the person next to us. During meal times people generally expect to converse. The loud music should be kept until much later when the drinks kick in. Can't honestly recommend anything - apart from the lovely location.

Get in here early to book your whale watch & Fraser Island packages in whale season (mid July - end October) the Quick Cat II vessel is the best to view from with low decks which are wheelchair & pram accessible right around, even to the front.

Approximate cost: $250

This place is one of the best places to stay in Hervey Bay. Views, service and new facilities. Above average cost but if you can afford it do it.
