Great chocolate factory, top quality, tasty, on-site-made chocolate. You can just visit the shop,or you can take a self-guided tour for $12 adult/$8 children, and see an impressive chocolate waterfall, chocolate 'painting' of Dame Edna, and a huge one tonne block of chocolate, among other things. We really enjoyed this.
Then browse the shop, and see if you can get out without buying anything. Lots of interesting flavours and combinations, and very moreish.

There's one now in QLD also that's a Pty Ltd. I don't know if that because the items in the shop maybe made up there now??.

I live near the Chocolate Factory on Phillip Island and I have to say i never get sick of going there, the service is great and the chocolate is delicious you can really tell that they've made it themselves, anyways the only thing i think i'd suggest is that the staff should maybe clean some of the things in the windows, there was dust all over everything in there.

we stopped at this factory on our weekend away to Phillip Island and were impressed with variety of chocolates available

we sampled some and it was delicious. we even brought some chocolate to take home

the self guided tour of the factory was interesting, although I found the price to be a bit to expensive

Chocolate of good quality. Shop had only bulk packaged product. No small quantities or mixed product, no individual single chocolate sales.
Cafe had only Curry for hot meals and the aroma did not mix well with the chocolate in the shop.
The staff were very difficult to understand and had trouble understanding English requests from customers. Maybe they only want the tourist trade.

Wont stop there again.

The highlight of Panny's Phillip Island Chocolate Factory is definitely its very inexpensive, imaginative and creative self-guided tour. Not the usual sterile Chocolate Factory Tour (if any even still exist), this one is all about making the most of an adventure, and the mostly media-style history provided. My young sister spent an hour just in the section with old billboard advertising, absorbing changes in advertising styles and logos over the years. It was a very informative time for her and I could not believe we were in the end actually dragging her through this section to get to the chocolate making experience further on. What I love about this Chocolate Factory is that it is family owned and operated, and perfectly personable. You can tell the chocolate is made with enthusiasm and love. I'd recommend this fun tour to anyone with a thirst for knowledge -Not just chocolate lovers. Most people will come to appreciate that it is not always about big and commercial, or bottom-line prices and cheap-tasting chocolate, after the quality experience that is Panny's. I used to think I didn't like chocolate. Now I've come to understand that chocolate is not what we purchase on the everyday supermarket shelf - and I love that Phillip Island Chocolate Factory was able to change my mind on that.

Hi Cudreh, Thanks for a concise review. Appreciated the detail and look forward to checking this place out. Thanks for the heads-up. Regards, Reeces

Given that this is their factory I was expecting the shop attached would be way less expensive. The prices of stock was staggering. It was over priced for a self guided tour but you could spend as long as you like in there. Take your time because it isn't very big. Highlight for me was the life sized chocolate statue of David.

This is a great activity for a rainy, cold day. The whole family enjoyed learning about the chocolate-making experience - from cocoa bean to finished product. There are interactive displays and interactive puzzles and games. You can make your own chocolate and see chocolates being made and packaged in the factory. It's not cheap but good fun and we all enjoyed it a great deal.

Approximate cost: $36.00

The Chocolate here is to die for, they have just about every kind of sort you could think off. The cafe is good and the shop is large. The chocolate is not cheap but you get what you pay for. My only advise is if you chose to view the "making of the chocolate", it is self guided and if your not careful it could be over in 5 minutes as it is very small, so take your time.

Approximate cost: $12.00 Adult

Even though I am not a great chocolate fan, we went to the cafe and shop and had a great coffee and chocolate biscuit. The family friendly cafe is great to take your kids and they will be thrilled with the different things you can make from chocolate. There is much to see even if you don't pay to go into the factory.
