One of the worst Dr’s practices in Canberra. Only care about taking your money! With the exception of Dr Greblo the other Dr’s are unprofessional and in my opinion shouldn’t be practicing. One Dr told my dad to stop taking aspirin (which he prescribed by his cardiologist for his heart condition). Within a month of stopping this medication my dad had a heart attack. When the specialist reviewed his medication he questioned why dad’s GP removed the aspirin from his list of medication. Another time my mum went in for a lump on her breast. The Dr gave her ointment and told her to take antibiotics for it, that it was an inflammation. Mum ended up in hospital bc the lump had started to ooze pus. She had it drained and was in hospital for a week. The lump was from a bacteria that could’ve killed her. He didn’t send her for any tests or anything. Then there was another time my dads went to the Dr’s after his dialysis to see Dr Johar who told him to come in at 12pm. Reception informed my dads he didn’t actually start that day until 2pm. My dad’s wheelchair bound so he decided he’d wait for him. When Johar got there he proceeded to see his appointments, even his friends who just walked in and sat outside his door while we waited. By 4:30pm my dad’s BP had dropped dangerously low as well as his sugar levels that he was rushed to hospital. The ER Dr’s told us had dad waited any longer he most likely would’ve had a stroke, seizure or worse. If you’re a person from a non-English speaking background or someone who needs help managing complex health issues then Phillip medical centre is not the place to go! I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

I have attended this surgery many times and have always been treated very well. Pity they have stopped bulk billing as this made it more convenient to receive medical treatment

I used this surgery when my family GP went on holidays. The receptionists were systematic and had a first come first serve system. They tell you that there is a gap fee outright so no big surprises. A number of GPs practice so it is quite good. It can be busy though especially from the mid morning till late. They close till 10pm and have a pathology and diagnostic imaging facility within the complex.
