Mark is a lovely man, and a great barista. They won an award from Beanhunter a couple of years ago, which is pretty impressive as most winners were in inner city areas. This is a tiny little cafe next to a tattoo shop. It's a bit thrown together, and the food is limited, but what they have is absolutely top notch. They're always busy, as it's a well known haunt now. You can usually find a seat, but you may have to wait a bit while your order is dealt with along with everyone else's. When it gets to you, it is usually worth the wait. Although it's quite small, kids haven't been forgotten, with a little table for drawing etc, and sometimes a couple of books to look at. Not really pram friendly, unless you can squeeze it into the side alley.

Approximate cost: $10

Two words: COFFEE ART!! I wish my baristing skills were as good! Great service, amazing coffee and nice little sweet treats. A rare find but total gem!

LOVE this cafe! Mark is one of the best Batistas in town and we are so glad he decided to share his talent with Diamond Creek! With groovy tunes this place is the ultimate chill out zone! LOVE the coffee art - which he is known for - makes me feel so special and each visit individual! The Portuguese tarts are to die for - thanks for bringing brunswick st to the north eastern back blocks!! :-)

Although really pokey Cafe Mechanico has a great vibe and has brought a new hip and happening crowd down to the Chute Street shops. Their coffee is also pretty fantastic!
