Mark is a lovely man, and a great barista. They won an award from Beanhunter a couple of years ago, which is pretty impressive as most winners were in inner city areas. This is a tiny little cafe next to a tattoo shop. It's a bit thrown together, and the food is limited, but what they have is absolutely top notch. They're always busy, as it's a well known haunt now. You can usually find a seat, but you may have to wait a bit while your order is dealt with along with everyone else's. When it gets to you, it is usually worth the wait. Although it's quite small, kids haven't been forgotten, with a little table for drawing etc, and sometimes a couple of books to look at. Not really pram friendly, unless you can squeeze it into the side alley.

They make great coffee, and an awesome breakfast. The Italian Hot Chocolate is an amazing, decadent treat. Their cakes are wonderful. Their staff is always busy, but always provide service with a smile. It is a squeezy little place, and the toilets are out the back, a long way from the cafe, but once you know this, you deal with it. Their food is always prepared beautifully, and is always cooked to perfection. It's a special treat to come for an occasion such as Mother's Day, but book ahead on these days.

The food is wonderful, and the staff are trying to bring in great craft beers and amazing dishes. They absolutely excel at brunch. Dinner isn't quite as amazing, although they continue to change their menu. Initially, the tables were located a little too close together, and it was a little uncomfortable being so close to the next table. Since then, they've changed it around a bit and it's better. They are on a mission to keep tweaking until they find what works.

Came here with an entertainment book voucher a few weeks back, and we've returned with our children tonight. Again, the food was really lovely, the service great. The kids play area is brilliant, no electronic games or playgrounds, just good old fashioned toys and books to fuel the imagination. The coffee was good, but not great, however the overall experience was just relaxed and very comfortable. Will be returning regularly, now that I finally found it.

I've been here quite a few times, at various times of the day. The staff are always courteous, the food has always been very good.

The service is really great and they are willing to go out of their way to satisfy your needs.

Really good at supporting the local community with the ability to use their restaurant as a meeting place.

We came here as a social night out including two younger children. While some people were having the banquet (and they all sat together), we as a family were choosing from the menu. It was incredibly difficult to get acknowledged and have our orders taken, for even a drink. It was half an hour before we could quite forcefully ask for our orders to be taken. It was another hour before our food came out. By this time it was close to 8.30pm at night, with young children.

For a booking at 7pm, this was incredibly unsatisfactory. We came approximately 2 minutes late. It seemed as though they chose to serve us in line with the serving of the banquet dishes, but it would have been wise to ask us whether we wanted to be served with the banquet dishes or wanted to be served as though we were a separate table.

It would have been great to have a babysitter so we could go out by ourselves, but that wasn't possible, and our children were well behaved. By the time the food came out though, it was well past their bedtime and they were getting difficult. The food was really lovely, but it was scoffed down quickly and we left to allow our friends to enjoy their desserts as we really needed to get our children home.

Even if we hadn't brought our children, I would still not have expected it to take an hour and a half to be served our meal. I felt as though we were annoying them by not all having a banquet together, but that shouldn't be assumed.

I may go back, but I don't think I'll take my children in case the wait is as long again.

My car battery died, so I got a few quotes for getting one and putting it in myself later. All the quotes were pretty high, and I thought I'd check my local community to see if I could support them instead of giving money to a chain.

I rang them and asked if they did call outs, and the guy said "it depends". I'm only walking distance from them, and explained the issue. He said he'd be able to come out later, and eventually I ended up with a new battery, fitted, for less than any of the other companies were charging.

Absolutely wonderful service in my emergency (I was stranded effectively), at a great cost. Will recommend again.

While I agree that the quality of the work is good, I will never go back because I was charged over $1000 for a service after they went ahead and did things that I did not give my consent to. I told them anything that wasn't expected was to be communicated to me first and I would decide what I would do now and sort out the rest later. I was a student with not very much money and this meant I had to borrow money to be able to take my car back. If they are not going to follow the rules and make sure I know what to expect, I can't trust them to send my car back again.

CalorieKing is the website version of Allan Borushek's Calorie and Fat Counter book that you can buy in any newsagent. It has a comprehensive food database although you might find the book easier to use. In addition to its database however, it has a club that you can join for free (it will become a paid service at some point in the future but I'm not sure when) to assist you in getting to your target weight. You can check in once a week with your weight and measurements and plot your progress as you go. You can also join the forums and talk to other members who are facing the same dilemmas you are. You can take your profile and see what Calorie King thinks is your ideal calorie intake for your particular situation. When you've lost a bit of weight it's a good idea to take your profile again and see if the recommendation has changed. It's a great tool for those who are trying to lose weight, gain weight or maintain weight as if you fill out the profile correctly it will give you a guideline for each of those situations. There are others in the forums who are in the same situation as you and you will find lots of valuable information.

Really great quality food in almost every instance. Extremely attentive staff for eating in. This is where we go when we want something a bit better than your ordinary takeaway because the prices are higher but there's a good reason for it. About the only thing I don't like about this restaurant is the pot holes in their carpark - it's a high quality establishment with a low quality carpark.
