Auctioneer could speak more clearly however this seemed to pose no problem for my husband who bid. Purchased an ex government vehicle for a price cheaper than the car yards sell. The administration fee of $429 is higher than Manheim Fowles. I felt that we were contributing to the new facilities that are being erected. We went for 4 weeks to obtain a vehicle and were very surprised at the prices bid. They seemed very high. Hot chocolate was terrible. Female staff member at the cafe/bar was very helpful. Toilets were clean, no running hot water though. I prefer Pickles method of travelling to each vehicle that was auctioned to Manheim Fowles where the vehicles are driven to the auctioneer. A much safer way to conduct an auction to isolate bidders from moving vehicles. The car that we purchased was 'hemmed' in thus viewing on the day of the auction was limited. I suggest a vehicle inspection in advance of the auction day. Pickles web page is descriptive and very easy to navigate. It would have saved us unnecessary travel if a fixed price was attached to ex-government vehicles.
