Best pies in Brisbane! Love the fact that they change the flavours regularly to mix things up a bit. Very creative- not just your regular meat pies. Prices are great for the quality too.
Approximate cost: $6
This place does great gourmet pies! The meat is chunky and not minced and they do all kinds of unique flavor combos! Don't be put off by the daggy interior, the pies are fab! They also do family pies and frozen pies
I agree this place looks daggy, but glad to hear the pies are good.
Best gourmet pies around. The JD is certainly the crowd favourite, but I also like to try the new flavours that are often available. The pastry probably is a little undercooked compared to standard pies, but I expect it's intentional and I quite like.
Costs more than plain pie at your local bakery, but you are getting something special. And it's still cheaper than what you'd get stung for a reheated Mrs Macs at your local cafe.
I tried the sausage rolls once. Not awful, but I've not bought another one since.
Approximate cost: $6
Can't say I've heard of this place. Loving the name of the business though. Will definitely have to give it a go as my husband loves a good quality pie ..
Best pies in Brisbane! The gourmet flavours change every now and then and are all beautiful. The chips are always made fresh and you definitely can't go past getting a pie floater. Yum!!
Souds good to me!!!
The yummiest pie I've ever had, JD pork pie was incredible! Crunchy pastry, tasty and tender meat. My boyfriend got the 'Animal Fries' which looked like the most sinful fries you could imagine with bacon cheese and gravy - couldn't bring myself to order my own but they were amazing! Washed it down with a really good coffee, loved it!
The pastry was uncooked and the bottom fell out. The meat was chunky and chewy. Not enjoyable.
These pies are AMAZING. I have been going for as long as I can remember and can honestly say that i have not had a bad pie yet (and I usually get 2 eachtime, my regular the jack daniels bbq pork rib pie and whatever special pie takes my fancy) some special of the week pies have been confit of rabbit pie, meatloaf with quail egg(i think) and caramelised sauce, sweet chilli and caramel pork pie, popcorn chicken pie, country chicken pie. Also all the staples like lamb and rosemary, beef and guiness, beef pie, sausage rolls ect. service is always great and a couple of staff and the owner already knows me by name. Only downside is that they do good business so sometimes all special of the week pies are already sold out. also the pastry/mash taters and gravy is perfect. dont care much for the peas though but my fiancee loves them. Pies are extreemly well priced for the level of product offered (i would gladly pay more) I think the high level comes from the fact that theyre made by a chef, not a baker so you get much nicer flavours and pastry that really works well. yes im deffinently a fan... and can still remember how good the first one tasted
Best pies in Brisbane, creative flavours and all round tasty. Staff are extremely friendly and always have fast service.
