Owner has terrible attitude and seems too good to be working in customer service
The worst experience I’ve ever had in a long time. Seafood is all frozen!! Don’t waste your money here. The restaurant manager - also a “blonde girl” is the rudest person I have dealt with. How on earth could she even be given this job? Totally trash!
Had the wild mushroom risotto. Fantastic. Followed up with the rose water panna cotta which was amazing. Master Chef would have given the chef a 10 for the panna
Our go to restaurant. Lovely atmosphere on the water with views of passing container ships. The food is wonderful especially the tiramisu which is not on the menu any more, please bring it back. Really great to bring interstate/overseas visitors which I have done several times and they all loved it. The steaks are melt in your mouth and tapas wonderful. Just a tips allow plenty of time to get here as easy to get lost.
Approximate cost: $40
We were late for our dinner reservation, my fault but the staff were wonderfully obliging and kept kitchen open especially for us. The tapas for entree was delicious, especially the cizorio sausage, and the calamari was tender not tough like some. Steak was tender and coked to perfection. Only thing that threw me was lack of vegetables on plate - didn't realize that had to order veges and or salad as extras. My dessert of cheesecake was pretty good , but my husbands blueberry and rose water parfait was pretty awful. Overall good value and tasty food, friendly staff.
Approximate cost: $35
I had a lovely experience. You can moore your boat somewhere near and walk to the restaurant. Easy to moore your boat.
Staffs are very helpful, and very very friendly.
I had:
Mixed seafood and meat grill which is WOW. you can taste all the different flavour and not just "grilled" flavour.
Chicken penne was so good. The sauce combination is perfect.
Hokaiddo scallops with puree and bacon is very close to the one they have at Number 8 restaurant at crown but not as pricy.
Morton Bay Bugs with salad and mango. The Morton Bay Bugs were great but the salad is just ordinary.
Chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream is definitely a must if you really like dark chocolate. It is comparable with the chocolate foundante at Meat and Wine restaurant at Southbank.
The sous chef is very passionate about cooking/ food, very down to earth despite his excellent cooking skills and perfection when it comes to taste of the food.
The staffs are very approachable and it gives a relaxing atmosphere.
I had also a bottle of wine ($38)
Total cost for all my meal approx $150.
Four of us enjoyed a superb 2 course lunch with a glass of wine each.Service was excellent and cheerful. Large ship passing by gave a horn blast which added some free entertainment. While our meal was a special half price deal, we could order from the full menu except the "beef and reef" and the wine was excellent for the price ($39 for two!)
Beef and reef sounds interesting..
