Having been to this place every summer for many years, this year we were very disappointed. $12.00 corkage for a bottle of wine in a pizza restaurant is unheard off. I ordered a main size gnocchi and counted only 10 gnocchi's on my plate. The pizza with italian sausage was tasteless. It needed salt or something. The service was ordinary. We had a 7pm booking and were told we had to leave by 8.30pm which at the time was good with us except we didn't get our main meals till 8.15pm (very slow service). The overall cost for 4 adults was $220.00 (definately not worth it).

Approximate cost: $25.00

just been back to pizza doh after a long break following rotten service. The foods not nearly as good ,the service remains poor and they need some competition to have a wake up call. After a yr long break we were greeted with "have you booked?" in gruff terms. we were made to feel like we were causing great inconvenience by having not pre booked. Despite several back tables being empty the waiting staff tried to force us to sit opposite the kitchen, which we refused.its noisy and in a passage way.Not returning again . we also had to spend 20 mins sorting out the bill having been overcharged again(my problem a yr ago)

I heard these guys did the best pizza in Victoria, so I thought I'd take a 3 hour trip down to see. And I was not disappointed!

I walked into the store and it was completly packed, from front to back, jammed with people, and thought I was in for at least an hours wait. I weazled my way through the crowd, and decided on the Gourmet Vegetarian Pizza "Provencale" whilst I waited to order. The young guy who took my order was friendly, efficient and accurate. He told me I had a 15 minute wait, and 15 minutes later I had my Roasted Veggie Provencale as I was told. I took my pizza across to the beach, opened up the box, and it was too good to pull apart, all the colours looked like a piece of art. The smell home made roast veggies, and basil, yum..... I took my 1st bite and actually moaned, this pizza is devine, you can really taste how fresh all the ingredients on it are.

All in all, I think this place is great, and deffinetly worth the trip down to th penisula, wherever you're from.

This place is extremely busy in Summer and has close to the best pizzas in Melbourne, but it is let down by it's attitude. The pizza's are on very thin crispy bases with just the right amount of ingredients and not too much cheese/oil.

Unfortunately on both occassions we've been there, we've experienced questionable service. The first time was for take-away and the guy incorrectly typed Large instead of Family into the register. After waiting nearly 40 mins (luckily there is a groovy little place that have beer on tap a couple of doors down) I realised his mistake on the receipt. I quickly ran in to tell him and fortunately the pizza hadn't yet been made. Normally I wouldn't be glad about my pizza not being ready after 40 mins but it turned out for the better on this occassion. To his credit he was apologetic and made sure we didn't miss our spot in the queue.

A week later we decided to drop in their for an early dinner with the kids, when asked if they had a kids menu the lady replied with a blunt "no". Given that the Pasta dishes are $16 and the Pizza's range from $16-$24 you would expect them to offer a cheaper alternative for kids, such as a $6 small pasta. Anyway we decided we could get a $16 pasta for the kids to share, but she then said "we're booked out" in a coarse way. It was about 6pm and there was not a single person in the restaurant, so we asked if we could quickly eat before people arrived but we were given a very abrupt and rude "no".

If they didn't have such amazing pizza's they would never get a customer! I strongly advise the owner to sort out the staff.

Approximate cost: $24 family pizza

Incredible food and such a delight to have it on our doorstep. Love the food so much and the general position. We visit often despite one waitress being on all occasions downright rude and abrupt. (To add insult she over charged us by $70 , a bill from another table who had already left!)However we do love the food and the location. Greeting customers who may not have a booking could be improved.!you may not always be so busy and locals keep you going, even in those lows! There are pleasant ways to refuse or rush those who would like a table when yr too busy and we would accept dissapointment politely. Despite these comments we do love the food and the general atmosphere and find ourselves returning even when the horrid waitress ends up serving us.

Approximate cost: $25 main
