I got Jim's / Metropolitan plumbing out for a quote to replace my instantaneous Hot Water System with a new instantaneous HWS.

They quoted almost $5400 !!!

I made another couple of phone calls, and I had a reputable company do the same job for ONLY $1960 !!!

They came out the same day and it only took about 3.5 hours.

Called Jims Plumbing when connection to water meter failed. Is a plastic fitting to copper connection. Confirmed part was worth < $50 and would take less than 10 minutes to fix. Jims (or In/Out I think the van had on it) quoted $1550 for this simple job. Took the call out fee too!
Absolute rip off and no flexibility in using a pricing schedule.
Never ever again.

booked with Jim's Plumbing, " Jims " have charge me $141 non-refundable, and I get Metropolitan Plumbing arrive, then he quotes $800+ to fix a leaking downpipe, your joking! look just tell me you dont want to do it even though you are a plumber. waste of my time will never use either company ever again

Rang Jims as they claim no additional weekend call out. Paid $142 to book the plumber. Plumber arrived, not Jim’s but Metropolitan Plumbing. Relatively easy clear out of sewer blockage with the machine as I had already located where it was blocked. Job took 30-40 minutes in total. Paid another $740, so all up $882. Way too expensive!
