Appalled by the dishonesty of this company. They quoted my mother $245 to unblock a pipe - reasonable for a Sunday rate. When they plumber arrived, they stated this was just a callout fee and that the job would cost almost another $1000 - to unblock a pipe! This was not stated when my mother called them initially - they stated the job would cost $245 in total, not that this was just the callout fee. After they charged her and she queried the cost, they stated they had never said this was the total fee for the job. Absolutely disgraceful, considering on their website they have stated they have 'upfront, honest pricing.' Disgraceful that a company could so blatantly rort their customers.

These guys are very professional and did my plumbing work last week. I was very happy with the service and price. Highly recommend them anytime.

DO NOT CALL THOSE PEOPLE IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY, they'll take complete advantage of your situation.
1. They charged us $1,200 for replacing a burst water hose, which was literally a 15 minute job.
2. Their plumber only mentioned that the quote is not inclusive of GST when we were about to pay and after the job was done.
3. He refused to break down the invoice into labour and materials and said they charge by the job not the hour!
4. After replacing the water hose he only tested the water flow, however he failed to turn the hot water back on. We called the company the following day about that, they said the plumber would call us back, never got back to us, we had to call the water heater company and they told us how to turn it back on in a very friendly manner and without charging us a cent.

Where to start. Charged $695 to fix hot water system for 3 small parts. Installed in less than 20 minutes and left. Assured all ok and left. Calling and left messages and still no response after a week as system is still not working. Try another plumber. Do yourself a favour and avoid them.

I have to agree with the reviewer before. We had an urgent issue and gave internet research a miss and just called the yellow sticker they hand out - "Your local plumber". The people arriving - different guys on different days - were unorganised, had to be called back as the job was half done and there were still leaks and the price was outrageous. Stay away from them!

I had problem with hot water: the gas water heater was constantly on and there was sound of water running. I rang "plumbing detectives" (I have asked them if they are local, and they said "yes, we are from next suburb" - I found out they are from Yagoona, miles away from my place , which is in Northern Beaches) and after I have describes the fault to them they told me it is water heater faulty. They advised me to order the water heater from them (for $1,7000.00), not mentioning there are any cancellation fees. In the meantime I did some investigation and was told by Rinnai that it was unlikely for the fault I have described to them to be a water heater. When the "detectives" arrived next day, they wanted to get straight away to water heater replacement. I told them about suggestions from Rinnai technician, so they reluctantly started looking for the cause of the problem. In the end they came to a conclusion that it might be a hot water pipe burst. I have suggested that the pipe might be bypassed, but they told me that they need to bring some equipment to pinpoint where is the leakage. Of course the next day they could not find the leakage and suggested the bypass. They charged me nearly $500.00 and did not do a thing. Then they gave me a quote for $1,600.00 to bypass the broken pipe. At this point I had enough. I have contacted local plumbers; they came promptly and without any suggestions from my part they have advised to bypass the broken pipe. Their free quote was $450.00; cheaper than these lying monkeys charged me ($495.00) to issue a quote for $1,600.00. Employ them if you want to have a horror story to tell, but if you want real professional plumbers, go somewhere else.
