I enjoy playing poker so I thought a poker cruise would be lovely on a warm spring night if went out early in the tournament I could enjoy the cruise, food and drinks, OH BOY! I COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG!!! We entered the catamaran which had 2 levels both levels completely full of poker tables, there was no other seating available and the standing space outside of both levels was very limited. It is advertised $250.00 of value •FOUR hour poker cruise with Poker Afloat!
•Cruise in style aboard the fully decked out Twin Level Catamaran
•Spectacular night of fun, even if the cards don't fall your way!
•Fully catered event - enjoy cocktail finger foods, beers, wines and soft drinks for the whole cruise.
If I was just interested in getting totally pissed off my face and spending hundreds of extra dollars rebuying, playing with a lot of other pissed people and had eaten a meal before boarding it would have been great, but only if I could have sat at the table all night and during the breaks. Unfortunately for me I enjoy a cruise sitting out on deck watching the city lights, a good game of poker, a nice glass of red and lovely gourmet finger food, however, that was not to be had. The beer was served for a short time then you were expected to leave the game and go to the bar yourself, if you wanted water, wine or soft drinks you had to go to the bar from the start and if you were hungry which most people were you got very little food which was not Gourmet at all it was party pies, spring rolls, Mini steamed dim sims and sandwiches at least that is all that I was offered, there was a rumour that mini desserts were going around but none of us saw those . We had to ask for serviettes and we weren't even offered toothpicks to pick the hot food with. The food service was very slack indeed. During the break we had to leave the table area which meant we were all standing in the limited outdoor area in a shoulder to shoulder manner where people were smoking, loud and extremely pissed as they had not enough food. When I went out of the main tournament I had no where I could sit to enjoy the cruise and this forced me to buy into a second tournament at $25.00 which they were running top deck just to be seated. In this second tournament I had some luck and made it to the final table I came second in that tournament and one a whopping big nothing as I was informed that they only gave a prize (not cash) to the winner. The winner won a stay in a resort in Bali for between 5 - 6 nights flights and transfers NOT INCLUDED. Never ever again would I go on this cruise. If I cruise I will cruise if I play poker I play poker there is most definitely no extra enjoyment on the pokerafloat catamaran you may as well throw a good old BBQ and have a home game much more fun in that.

Approximate cost: $250.00
