A very pleasant way to spend a late Sunday afternoon. We did not know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised by how much there is to see on the Ross Dam. Our highlight was the trip up Stony Creek! The seating was comfortable and there is plenty of room to wander around and take in the view from all angles. Lots of birdlife to be seen, and kangaroos when we went closer to the shoreline. A very peaceful and relaxing experience!
I have lived in townsville for 30 years and never knew this place existed it was awsome. I haknow Pop sullivan and knew he would have a great product so had to try it out for my self.
Absolutely wonderful. A must do for all Townsvilleans and visitors alike. We actually had this cruise as our work social and it was the most relaxing and informative way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We followed the cruise with a BBQ at the quarry and all the staff are still on a high from the great night. They all said is was a brilliant Christmas Party and can we do it again. Pop and Heather were without a doubt the "hostess with the mostess".
An excellent tour, with a good history commentary and a map of the path taken across the dam.
Additional history would be a great addition to a very good tour.
Approximate cost: $30
A wonderful relaxing sunset cruise on Ross River Dam Townsville, saw lots of wildlife also. A great way to see an area which is not open to the public as it is Townsville's water storage
Approximate cost: $30
Great people, comfortable boat, definite value for money. Cruise of the Ross Dam in Townsville. 2 hour cruise Sunday afternoon in October. We were transported to the boat in a school bus. Pop had wonderful knowledge of the history of the area and the birds and animals. Plenty of photo opportunities.
Approximate cost: $30
In such a tropical environment, it was lovely to spend a Sunday afternoon TOTALLY relaxed, and then wind up in SILENCE ... among the magnificent greenery, just idling, viewing and listening to the silence. Really appreciated the fabulous overhang each side of the vessel, protecting ALL occupants most of the time!!
Approximate cost: $30 a head
